Hey y'all, I'm new to the forum so I thought I'd say hi. I found bladeforums a while ago looking for sharpening info, but I decided to join the forum after reading some of J jackknife 's great stories. Looking forward to being part of the community!

Don't forget to wrap and drip the hose faucets before tomorrow night!Thats the kind of weather that made me flee from my native Maryland to sunny Texas. Haven't owned a snow shovel, long underwear, or a winter coat since 2015. Lot's of cargo shorts though!
get that whiskey ready! winter is coming
I must have missed a memo. It needs to be winter to have whisky ready????![]()

Oh, the weather outside is FRIGHTFUL
Ours is on its way Thursday thru Saturday winter storm watch. 6+" of snow, 50mph winds
ya'll stay safe now... better yet stay indoors![]()
As long as it involves some of that sunshine I see in the background, it should be good!!I am enjoying some winter sun at the moment, but still suffering with my backMy plan for today was to walk along the beach, and have a paddle in the Atlantic
Then I realised that if I sat down on the sand to take off my shoes, I probably wouldn't be able to get up again!
Need a new plan!

Thanks a lot Charlie, in the mid 70's hereAs long as it involves some of that sunshine I see in the background, it should be good!!
Hope your back feels better soon, Jack!! Maybe for Christmas!!![]()
Thanks Carl, I think I'm stuck with them unfortunatelySorry to hear of your back problems, Jack. Its a serious bummer when your bad. is out, and it hurts just to move. But it looks like you're doing okay, having a little little something in that glass, hopefully with some alcohol content.
Pain always seems more manageable if you have a booze you like!![]()
Good to hear you've graduated. One small step for Carl, one giant leap for the medical community. If it gets bad here, I'll have to put snow chains on my walker! I was just graduating last Monday's PT session to using a cane, but I don't know if the rubber cane tip is snow rated.![]()
This must be the week for recoveries guys. Monday a triple hernia surgery slowed me down a bit but I be fine in the morning.I am enjoying some winter sun at the moment, but still suffering with my backMy plan for today was to walk along the beach, and have a paddle in the Atlantic
