I am alive and well, my friend. Like Frank said, I’ve been keeping an eye on you guys, but just had to take a break from some of my regular routines.

Just had to say goodbye to my father, who passed at age 90, after contracting covid, and entering the hospital on Palm Sunday.

A peaceful ending to a beautiful life ~ and at his request, we laid his ashes next to Jason’s.

I’ll be back soon. Just reflecting more than usual.

Here’s a photo of Dad and I lovin on my oldest son when he was home on mid-tour leave in late 2008.
The dark circles around his eyes are from being in a shooting war not even 48 hours earlier.

We really don’t need a set-aside day of parades, bbqs, and neighbors popping off fireworks in order to remember.

But we’re picking up Mom and taking her to a bbq anyway.

We were in Dubois Wyoming a few years ago. It hailed so much they had to get snowplows out to clear the roads
