Sorry to hear what you've been going through. Thanks y'all
Just needed to ..I dunno
Vent I guess
We are ..ok I think
It's just kinda freaky to think back and kinda list out what the past 18 months or so have been a know?
I'm sorry to hear about what you and your wife are going through. I sincerely hope things turn around for you soon.Well. I am still alive
The past 18 months have been the worst in my life.
Lost my father last January, then my Toyota tacoma blew up at about 195k miles. Necessitating a new vehicle and new vehicle payments.
The wife who is handicapped got moved to part time status (thus losing her insurance). Which lasted a few months before they started coming up with BS reasons to start writing her up and so she left moving us to a one income household.
Then I lost my mother, back in October.
So we lost 40ish% of the household income. Picked up a new vehicle and new payments (actually had to borrow against my 401k for the down payment). And both parents.
I have picked up extra hours at work and have been working myself to the bone. Pulling from my 401k to keep current on the mortgage payments.
Soooo yeah
Y'all hadnt seen me in awhile, but I am alive.
Hopefully, we applied for disability for my wife and should have an answer over the next few months. Then we can talk about a lawyer for treatment of my wife by her former employers. (State law says you can't apply for disability if you are currently involved in any litigation). I think once we get her settled and I get an opportunity to cut my hours back to normal I will go see the VA about some stuff from my time in active duty (can't hurt right?)
I don't know why I am sharing all this or unloading all this here. But I wanted to share.
An explanation as to why I've disappeared for so long
I am really sorry to hear about this. Lets hope you look back soon and say to your Wife- "Phew... that was a big Wave that hit us... but we aren't too bad now "Well. I am still alive

In the school book where I learned to read the legend was told with an accent on Roland blowing his horn till his death. Before he tried to break Durandal but only broke the rock, creating the brèche de Roland, and finally throwed the sword in the air.I never heard all that. The version I heard has Roland dying on top of the sword in hopes of keeping it out of enemy hands, after he was unable to break it.
Seriously? some weasel stole it?
Now the knife flippers have gone TOO far!In the school book where I learned to read the legend was told with an accent on Roland blowing his horn till his death. Before he tried to break Durandal but only broke the rock, creating the brèche de Roland, and finally throwed the sword in the air.
Unfortunately it has really been stolen.
Interesting how huge a historical figure can get in legend.brèche de Roland, and finally throwed the sword in the air.
Unfortunately it has really been stolen.
Now THAT was a timeI think I'll throttle back to the Bicentennial buckle for the rest of the weekend.

He did blow, but noone came because a traitor, Ganelon left him abandoned. He is very often representated blowing his horn, in fact more than throwing the sword. As I remember, he refused to blow the horn for help because he wanted to do it all himself.
Maybe that bit didn't get into the Children's Book of Knowledge.a traitor, Ganelon left him abandoned.
You don't know how good that is to think aboutI am really sorry to hear about this. Lets hope you look back soon and say to your Wife- "Phew... that was a big Wave that hit us... but we aren't too bad now "
The best of luck to come your way![]()
Thank you sir.Wow, Ryan, sorry you are having such a rough go of it. I have had various tragedies and setbacks in life but they came more widely spaced. Tough to get them all back-to-back like that. I hope you get through it all and come out the other side OK.
