It looks like they haven't addressed renormalization yet, so this has a ways to go before it's widely accepted.

I've had zero interest in gravity knives until now, but maybe this article changes everything! 😲

That whistling noise you hear is the sound of your post going over my head…

All I know about gravity is that it is somehow related to mass, and the real, practical effects of that need to be accounted for in my line of work.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geoid

“even if the Earth were spherical and did not rotate, the strength of gravity would not be the same everywhere because density varies throughout the planet”

“Generally the geoidal height rises where the Earth's material is locally more dense and exerts greater gravitational force than the surrounding areas”

AHA! I knew there was a reason that some of my walking routes have places where there are imprints of leaves in the sidewalk! My conjecture has always been that gravity must be REALLY strong at places where falling leaves actually leave impact craters, and Tom's quotes confirm that. (I also considered the alternative hypothesis that a tree will occasionally produce a leaf or two of EXTREMELY high density (and mass), and those incredibly massive leaves hit the sidewalk with enough force to leave impact craters. But that alternative seemed CRAZY!😲)

Any cat lovers around I have a question, have been giving my old dog heck for starting to get into garbage in his old age only to find that a couple of stray cats are doing the deed living under a deserted garbag left from a house fire bext door,I was advised to trap them take them to the town to get what ever they do,but every spring and fall I catch a few dozen mice in garage and shed and these guys have it so I haven't got any this spring,so I have been leaving them leftovers and now have bought regular cat food, they are to wild and only come out at dark, but do cats need milk because it would just turn bad in summer or should water be left as well,oh and my song birds have disappeared but I also have 2 mean blue birds I took a shine too that attack my birds and squirrels, I used to put small apples at the beginning of my fence for the squirrels, they would then struggle carrying them the 30 yards to their hangout ony to have the blue Jay's crash bomb them,I'm not a squirrels guy because of finding them in my attack and chewing my drain pipes lol.so do leave water with food for cats.ps I don't want rocky the racoon to get the food either.

Cats do not need milk. In fact, adult cats tend to be lactose intolerant and it can lead to diarrhea, dehydration, malnutrition. Put out water for them.
If you put cat food out, the raccoons will probably help themselves as well.

Ya I put some flour down on a few calm nights around the house and only cat and rabbit, I have a cane corso in my picture that made short work of raccoons so they are not around but I'm thinking that this might bring them back, but I should put water with food then

We shared our property with a feral cat for close to 14 years. We reached an agreement that I would put food (ground beef patty) out every morning at a specific time, it (we had trapped it, had it neutered, then released it) would eat at that spot every morning, then I would remove the food bowl. That removed the random critter issue. We left a water bowl out 24-7 on the front porch. "Kitty" caught rats, mice, squirrels, birds, and rabbits. And left the skulls on the front door step for proof. We had a good partnership. No milk involved.

There are 2 of them, one lost it's tail and some ear to frostbite and the other never shows it's self except at a distance or at night,I think they would be tough to get out of cage once caught because it is a mean he or she.

I'm not sure why wasn't expecting this but the neighbors cat just went and started to have a real ladybugs picnic at the strays expense, gotta go to plan b.

When getting acquainted, I put some burger out where the cat felt safe, but within sight of me. I put it closer and closer to me over time. Kitty got the idea that I was harmless and a source of food, and ended up eating at my feet. Never did want to go in the house, even in a storm.

When it came time to neuter, we got a live trap, baited it with canned fish (Mackerel, I think), and let the vet deal with the decaging part. After the operation, we gave food and water for I think 24 hours, then opened the cage in the back yard and good to go. Kitty did not appear to hold a grudge. Came for breakfast the next day, same as usual.

My neighbor puts food out for a couple of feral cats. This fella is well pleased with the arrangement.

Ya my worry is I just caught the neighbors cat from a few houses down eating it,I'm concerned it may be a losing proposition for the feral cats.the wife thinks this orangey tabby might be homeless to by its shabby appearance, man I can't feed 3 cats and still have a knife budget, gotta setup a gofundme page with their pictures from a game camera
