"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

L lambertiana ..I'm already picturing a high stakes poker game at the
Casino La Porchroyal. Wealthy villainous Porchenbergers sipping Martinis and dabbing the corners of their eyes with tissues but in a very sinister manner.

Does anyone remember a thread about how to lighten the color of jigged bone covers? My new Tobacco Barlow has such dark green covers that without a strong light and even the right angle, they look black. Green is my favorite color and I would like to be able to tell these are green! All help appreciated.

A story you will like.
Had the kids over for my daughter Lorna's birthday yesterday, she has been getting into camping, have to store her double swag for her 🙄
Anyway I asked if she needed a sak. She told me Noah loves his reckons it's the best present he's ever got. I asked Noah, he said he loves it uses it all the time.
Noah is my Lorna's boyfriend been together for years. A couple of years ago I gave him a deluxe tinker for Christmas.

So, we went to the Apple Orchard today and got some apples, some 1911 Loganberry-flavored vodka, hot dogs, and fries for lunch. I wore my Air Force Veteran's cap and found out it was worth a 15% veterans discount on all our purchases, and I got hit on by 3 old ladies while my wife was in the restroom! I got a kick out of it, but my spouse wasn't amused!

I've always had the impression that you had a touch of "Studly (Dudley) Do Right" in ya Gary. :)

Whenever we're out and I see someone with a Vietnam Veteran's hat on, I ask my wife, "I don't look that old do I?" Her answer is always, "Yeah. You do.":)

Gary, do you think the women were attracted to your youthful good looks or to your 15% discount?? ;)

Mya had surgery yesterday to remove a small growth on her eyelid. The vet said it's imperative that she wear this collar for two weeks to keep her from scratching at her eye, or the stitches. She's not a fan of her new fashion accessory.

So, Mya has five more days that she's supposed to wear the collar. I'm not sure the collar's going to make it.:)

A Woolly Bear Caterpillar report for Central NY.
Supposedly, less black towards the head (left) and more towards the tail indicates winter begins mildly, and ends harshly. The more brown bands, the more moderate the winter overall.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming...
