I’m well thanks guys. I haven’t really been around the last 6 months other than to reply to the occasional dm which comes through to my email.

The forum can be too much fun and I have poor self control so it’s easier to step away. I hate being the guy looking at a phone instead of my kids.

Rest assured I still love my knives 🙂

Be well gentlemen.

Anyone here celebrate Burns Night? Gonna have a simple one here at home the night before. Haggis, neeps & tatties, Scotch, bagpipes, Burns poetry--and I've memorized Address to a Haggis. Gonna be glorious! Gonna use a custom made gaucho knife from Argentina to cut the haggis (hope that's okay). Unless I can get a Scottish dirk before then....
(Should I get a kilt?).

Haggis (Scottish Gaelic: taigeis [ˈtʰakʲɪʃ]) is a savoury pudding containing sheep's pluck (heart, liver, and lungs), minced with chopped onion, oatmeal, suet, seasonings, and salt, mixed with stock, and cooked while traditionally encased in the animal's stomach[1]
A recipe to put fire into the unshod loins of the man who wears a kilt properly Where did you get the makings?

I am 1/4 Scot. Used to love Islay single malt. Still love bagpipes. (Not the marching band stuff, I mean the pipes.)
(If you like bagpipes, try finding a recording called "Rant" by "The Wicked Tinkers". Recommended.)
But bagpipes and liquid refreshment is as far down that trail as I've gone.

I've never celebrated Burns Night, Vince, and after reading Frank's haggis recipe, I doubt that I'll be totally on board with the menu. How about if I remember to drink a Founders Dirty Bastard Scotch-style ale with my supper on 1/25/26?

Got the haggis from Scottich Gourmet USA. It's in the freezer now, but I will thaw it a few days before the meal and follow the heating instructions. I suspect it does not have sheep lungs (some US law, I think), but it should be good. Only other time I have had haggis was at a festival in San Antonio at the Institute of Texan Cultures. I liked it. Don't know if my wife will eat it....

I love Islay whisky too. Been a Friend of Laphroaig since 1997, and had some Ardbeg Uigeadail last night. May get some Glenmorangie for the meal. More palatable for most people.

That'll do, Gary! But maybe you can get some real Scotch Ale, like McEwans.

I was the victim of a conspiracy today!! 😲
A white box appeared on my doorstep today, that I was not expecting!! I didn't call security because it didn't look suspicious!! I dragged it in, and saw it was addressed to me, and it had Barrett's return address on it????
btb01 btb01 !!
So I put on my gas mask (not!), and opened it, and lo and behold a slip should appear made by Coleman!! Sharp & Fiery Sharp & Fiery !!
slip from Barrett and Coleman.jpg slip 2.jpg
So I tied a lanyard on it and stuck my current EDC in it, and had a happy ending!!! 😁
You guys are sly!!!;) Thanks to both of you!!! Nice and slim and light - I'm going to enjoy this Slip!!!

Well, Charlie, the conspiracy plot thickens, because you’ve got the wrong guy! It wasn’t me! 😲 I obviously can’t take credit for someone else’s generosity, so you might want to double check that return address. 😉🤣

I checked it, and I misread it!! Sorry about that! It was not Coleman, but very similar to your name, Barrett, so I'll have to get Coleman to clarify.
It's a great Slip, regardless! 😁
