"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

Figured I'd share the fam with ya. That'd be Rowdy and myself and Carat with Emily in our respective natural environments.

I'm in, if for no other reason but to have my old lady do an exaggerated eye roll when it comes out of the box.

might I venture to opine that the picture does not match your description?

Always on the lookout for discrepancies, that would be me. Part of the job description where I work.

Okay, Paul, now you've got my attention.... Your screwdriver tool doesn't say "Find Yourself In The Air Force" does it?

I suppose it really is true that great minds think alike!;)

BTW, Paul, I've always got these tools on my person as well. Micra in the watch pocket, pocketwrench 2 in the right rear pocket.

It does not Elliot, it's from an old gas station in our town, long closed. I agree about the great minds though;):p:

Been hitched to that brown haired little gal I met on a pistol range in Texas, 42 years ago. She's still my bride. If I call her old lady, I have to keep in mind she's a better shot than me!

The love of my life. I asked her to marry me three weeks after our first date. We married eight months later. Next anniversary is our 30th. We're in our 50s, but she doesn't act it.

April 2011 at one of our daughter's wedding. I've worn a tie only once since then at a niece's wedding.

She still plays on three teams in three leagues, but she's thinking about cutting that down to two now that she's getting a little older.

A pic of the only beer I drank in 2011. In 2012 I drank 4.5 beers. Thus far in 2013 I've had one, but I'll likely have another before New Years Day. I miss beer.

In the pic is also the husband of one of my sisters. Tim is one of the best men I know.

My sisters. The one on the left is enough older than me that I do not remember when she lived at home. As I was growing up she was more like an aunt. We've become extremely close since I've become an adult. The one on the right is not quite 5 feet tall and is 9 years older than me. We're close, but I was afraid of her growing up. She was tough. She could stop a fight between me and my twin brother in two shakes of a lamb's tail.

Great pics Leghog, I love the one of you and the missus in ball caps :)

You seem to wear a tie an awful lot! ;) :D

By way of contrast, a younger me (31 years old) at Wat Po, Cambodia, 1992, thanking villagers of Slaku.

This pic was sent to me a couple of months ago. Before that, I didn't know either it or the book about an operation I was on there even existed.

Bought much of my non-uniform "field clothes" at Goodwill in Honolulu. That shirt was one such item.
