It happens to be mine, just thought I would share here because I found it to be cool that they liked my photo enough to use it.

Actually, Sarah, it's funny, but she still seems rather diminutive to me at just over 50 lbs. I'm used to Weimaraner sized dogs...guess it'll take some time.

(I wonder if Skyler thinks they have turkey and bones on the menu?)

Tell Skyler I'll check. Our riding club (motorcycle) is having our bi-weekly meet & feed there tomorrow night. Or as your First Officer puts it, "We're an eating club with a riding disorder."

Now if that perrita would have been just slightly left that little bit of flame in the background that seems to be coming out of her head would have looked like one of those medieval religious based paintings.

GEC didn't first ask to use your photo before using it to promote their business?

Well, I don't have the flu, my reg doc says I don't have lymes if the antibiotics aren't working yet. He says possible rheumatoid arthritis or fibromyalgia. Going to the rheumatologist to see what's what probably after Christmas. Extreme pain but I am eating ibuprofen like candy.

What I am really worried about are pups. The old dog is doing poorly. The baby has horrible hot spots on his legs that have only gotten worse since we haven't been walking every night in the snow and ice. These are horrible wounds I am trying to keep clean. Last the middle pup got out and got into a turkey carcass. Yep, I know, someone put the turkey carcass out for cats, not me, and my dog got into it. He puked up his dinner and there were bone splinters in it. He's sleeping now, I'm looking at pics of him when he was a pup. Sick cats too to top it all off.

My granny is seeing enough people to see a train station too. Hollering all night long for people that aren't there. Worried about old people and furry people.

Yikes, Dan! Just one of those would be enough to deal with, but all together. Will keep you in thoughts.

You might want to look into the paleo/primal way of eating. My wife had a lot of joint issues and pain, little fevers and fatigue. Not debilitating, but enough to make getting through the day unpleasant, and she's a 4th grade teacher. I finally got her off the sugar and onboard with mostly paleo. We still eat the bad stuff a few times a week, but really cut it out for a few weeks at first. Within a few days her feet that she hadn't thought were swollen were loose in her shoes and she was feeling better as well as able to move better. Over a few months in the summer she lost about 45 lbs and a lot of pain and stiffness. Now if I, the chief cook & bottle washer could just get us back onto a good run of dedicated eating for a period again we could get off the plateau. As for me, my LDL/HDL ratio is good.

Not saying it's the only way or will help, but we saw a real difference. Might at least be worth checking into (it can be an info overload and confusing from all directions) Now if we could kick this Frosty habit and figure out how to eat around the menu at RC get togethers at places like Taco Bell. Yeesh. We just try to keep the cheats moderated and some weeks that works better than others.

Certainly going to keep y'all in thoughts and prayers.

That is very touching.

Just spent a few minutes avoiding misty eye contact with anyone at work.

Thanks for sharing that Mrs AIW

I wish to extend a huge thank you to the unknown person who made me a gold member. This came as a surprise when I got on line last night, and I saw the change. I'm not really sure what I did to deserve such a thoughtful gift, but to the party in question, thank you!!

Carl.

My wife shared this video clip with me. I felt it was worth sharing. The ending line is touching.

That is very touching. Quite close to home and really plucked my heart strings. I can confirm that without a doubt the very worst part of the job is delivering that message. Thank goodness, I have not yet had to do it at Christmas time. I pray that I'll never have to. I will also pray for all those who will be missing loved ones this Christmas.

Take care everyone, especially if you're behind the wheel over the holiday season.

My new Youtube knife-review rule: From here on out, as soon as someone reviewing a Case knife says he won't be using it because Case knives are strictly for collecting, I'm clicking stop. :grumpy: Just thought I'd get that off my chest.
