"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

Thanks everyone! Katie is doing very well, as is Julia. Andi, it certainly is a wonderful feeling, if maybe a little terrifying at times.

P, you've scarred me for life now with that photo of Charlie. I'll never look at my Charlows the same again. Ever. Never ever. :p

Hi guys & gals!

Last week I recieved two packages one was from the USA and the other one was from England :)

The first package arrived on wednesday; it was from our fellow forum member Brian (medicevans). It contained a couple of times, including some coins, a two US-$ bill as well as some nuts and a real nice written letter. :)
The 2 US-$ is pretty rare, as there are only 2 % of the whole american money is that bill. The coins have a great history, as well. There is a nice Half Penny which is in really great condition. :)

The letter was so thoughtful and nicely written - thanks for this, Brian and you Whole Great Family, my friend :)

Here are some images of the nice package

The other package arrived on friday and is from our forum member Thom (scruffuk). The package contained a great setup of cloths for Baby Max. The clothes are still too big for him, but he will grow in there, for sure. I´ve never heard about "The Gruffalo" before, but I like it. :D Max does kike it as well...

The package also contained a Olive Alox Bantam that was made as for Denmark and the danish market. A color I´ve never seen on a Vic before, at least in person.

Thanks for the great Bantam - Max also likes this great tool (it seems he´s grinning ;) )

Thanks for this great package, Thom & Jen! More pics I gonna email you, when Max is wearing the clothes :D :)

Wow! I didn't even know there was a $2 bill?! Nice one Brian.

Andi - Max looks so great in these pictures!!! And to think we were worried he'd have out grown the clothes....phew! Gives Papa Andi plenty of time to hunt down a copy of the Gruffalo in German ;)

We'll look forward to that email amigo.

Today was a sad day...I laid to rest my oldest cat. He was 16 years on this earth, and one of the gentlest creatures I have ever known. Many times when I surfed the forum, there he sat on my lap. Diabetes got the best of my little buddy, but I feel he is now in a better place...

Rest in Peace my little friend...

Thanks Andi.
on a better note,
Max is a handsome boy, your pics of him gave me a smile :)
He just looks like such a happy baby.

Sorry to hear that. It's such a sad time when we lose a companion.

Oh, man; I'm so sorry to hear about your buddy. I'm sure he was even more awesome than he looks in your photo and that he knew how much he was loved.

When I was in elementary school one teacher told us she always kept a two dollar bill in her purse for emergencies.

In those days two bucks was really enough to help. For minor emergencies, anyway. Back then a full sized candy bar cost a nickel.

Sorry for your loss, Duane. I know the feeling and it's tough. Better days, my friend.

Sorry for your troubles Duane, take care pal

Jack

Duane, I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your dear old friend. I'm sure there are plenty of mice to chase in heaven or wherever they're going next
