"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

Please tip one back for my friend Joe, he passed last week and I just found out. He was a very good friend and I am sad to see him go. He was larger than life in stature and persona. Didn't take anything from anyone. Friend to dignitaries and little old me.

Goodbye my friend, I will miss you and the trouble we got into.

I'll sink a Glenlivit before bed when I am home from my nightshift. For now, a prayer will have to suffice. My condolences.

I likewise offer condolences. I am sorry for your loss.

I'd just like to say, I've had a jolly few hours with Jack, chewing the cud and having some good food and drink.

Thank you old bean

I very much enjoyed my visit Scruff, thank you very much for your hospitality and convivial company. Hope to see you again soon pal :)

Good for the two of you!
As far as I can tell you are some of the most worthy contributers to this place who deserve it! ;)

Thank you Bernd :)

Sorry for your loss Dan. Cheers to your friend Joe

Dan, sorry to hear of your loss. My condolences. I'll be sure to raise my glass in your friend's honor tonight after work.

On a similar note, one of my friends from work passed away today. He was also "larger than life in stature and persona," as you've so eloquently said. Jaime was a real hellcat, but the kindest guy who would do anything for ya. He passed at age 53, from severe lung damage that the doctors think was caused by climbing in to inspect chemical tanks without proper respiratory protection, in his younger days.

Sorry to hear about your loss, Dan - my condolences!

Sorry to hear about your loss, Alex is also a bad thing. Smoke sent to your direction.

Sad news you have to share today :(

Very sorry of your loss, Dan. Sometimes good friends are hard to come by, so we'll hoist a cold one to his honor when we meet up!

Carl.

Dan, raising a cold one for you and your lost friend...

Alex, that is such a tragedy, sorry to hear of him as well...

Sad news, but here's to brighter days ahead...

I'm sorry to hear about your buddy Alex. My buddy had a good run, longer than most in his family.

Very tough today, at the grave side. My boy was about 6'9" and 400 lbs, they cremated him and I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I saw that metal shoebox.

He was buried about a five minute ride from where Carl and I had the best durn shrimp salad subs anywhere. I didn't have an appetite though, I played some war whoops from a cd he had given me. Irish Iroquois I wanted to honor him. I was alright but then I just lost it.

Lots of people all over wv, Md, pa, va and de will want to know.

Alex and Dan, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I with say some prayers for both of you and your dear friends.

Hey guys, still alive and kicking and figured i'd touch base...my job situation in KS since corporate made a change in management has become economically pathetic so putting notice in on monday and selling my house to move to CDA/Spokane region. Dunno how many fellows on here are up there but once i'm settled in and found work I'll be keen to get more involved in the knife scene and starting my business.

Its a scary move because we dont have a place, or jobs but we have friends up there. Hope everyone is still managing ok, hopefully I can vest more time in on here when i'm not stressed to the max. Take it easy.

Best of Luck to you Robert. I know these can be hard times.

Good luck, Robert! It may seem stressful and scary, but here's hoping you're able to transform that into excitement and a promising new start!
