"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

Best of luck to you and yours for the big change.

I hope that you are soon on your feet again and up and running with your business endeavours.

Good luck Robert :)
For some reason, I always thought I'd love that part of the US, although I've never been there :)
Call me weird...but I like rain
Don't worry about the job, you will find something good there, and you already have friends, which are always a most valuable asset, even more when you're going through hard times or big changes. And speaking about friends, bring a good slipjoint along...it will remind you that many people here are by your side (and they also carry a knife or two :D).

Take heart.

It doesn't rain nearly as much in the Spokane area as it does in Seattle.

In fact, with Spokane being the other side of the coastal range, that part of Washington state is very arid desert terrain if I recall right. Eastern Oregon and eastern Washington are very dry places.

Sorry I haven't been here much this week. I'm having problems with my home internet connection at the moment, and the loading speeds are so low, it has made posting virtually impossible. Hopefully back to normal soon :)

As long as it's not still the food poisoning.

Speaking of not getting food poisoning, I'm going to a crawfish boil today. Trying to decide what knife to bring.

I love crawdads.

The only thing is, I think I would starve to death eating them, because it seems that the energy expended is greater than the nutritional value.

Just returned from Kabul. Place is a mess in the run up to the elections this weekend.

The operative word here is, "returned".
Glad you made it back safe.

That's why you gotta get the big ones!
