"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

Many congratulations To you and your family Leghog :)

Hey, you never seen Bambi?! :D ;)

I have to admit I never cried seeing "Bambi" ... as an adult that is.

In truth, I was so young when I was taken to see Bambi that I can barely remember anything about it beyond the darkness of the cinema!

I remember taking one of my daughters to the cinema for the first time, and when the lights went up she cried because she'd enjoyed the experience so much that she didn't want it to end! Keeping her entertained 20-odd years later is a bit more expensive unfortunately! :D

So Saturday night my wife. my youngest daughter, and I go to my oldest daughter's and son's in-law for supper. Got the news we've been waiting for. Gonna be a grandpa! I cried.

I can empathise Leghog. We had quite a big day here too.

Wee baby pmew on the way! Eleven weeks and five days old in the womb. We decided not to know the gender, but very healthy and active (much to the ultrasound operator's annoyance, as it wouldn't sit still to be measured and was even shadow boxing at one stage!). Due 13th December 2014. In true Traditional Blade Forum spirit my beloved wife and mother of my child has affectionately nicknamed the bump "Peanut". I am so proud!

Love and well wishes to all!

Paul

Congrats Paul! Congrats Leghog! Wonderful news. With our baby Julia just turning 3 months old, I've definitely come to appreciate parenthood, and the trials that go with it. I wouldn't trade it for a thing! :)

Wait until you have multiple kids and they're all teens at the same time. You posting of trials might be a bit different. :)

Congrats gentlemen! My father has been berating his older children about not having any grandchildren yet.
I will say my wife and I didn't say a word. Not our business. Also we don't necessarily know what's going on. Had they found themselves unable to have kids they wouldn't have needed any extra stress from us from fear of disappointing us.

Congrats on the little one Paul. Before you know it you will have a 3 foot terror defeating every childproofing lock and device you purchased.

Congrats to the family leghog!

Excellent! Paul. Warmest congratulations!

Congratz Leghog :)

Congratz Paul!

Such great news! Warmest congratulations to everyone!

Max is four months old on the day today! He´s actually the great gift I´ve ever recieved in my whole life. Such a wonderful time.

Wow! Congratulations to you and the missus Paul, fantastic news

Big congrats Paul! My wife and I are currently trying for our first baby. Apparently having our first child is more important than me getting a Bob Loveless chute, go figure :p

Ahhh Paul, you know what this means?

You have to get a wee size constable helmet, for the new recruit, and of course, you have to get another peanut for him or her to place in the uniform trousers when that time comes. Another pmew serving the Crown!:thumb up:

Carl.

ps- I do remember one of the pipes I sent was a bit smaller size!;)

Be careful Pmew, once that little one is here, time will start flying by. I can't believe our Julia is three months old already!

If you'll notice, I caught her carrying a sheepsfoot Charlow in this picture...

Thanks for all the comments guys! I'm over the moon, but kind of terrified at the same time. :)
