"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

Popped my my "on stage cherry" last night-only muffed 2 lines but at the price of the tickets you shouldn't expect The royal shakespeare company.
If interested you can check it all out on facebook- Wollongong Workshop Theatre. Get Smart.

Brett if you are anything like me you will be on the lounge with a bag of frozen peas for at least week no make that two weeks being waited on hand and foot. Thats nothing to do with pain. It was simply for me to overcome the stress of associating the smell of burning flesh with my knackers.Yum.
Do not however try to behave like one idiot I know who came home from the op and a couple of hours later thought he felt well enough to go jogging and well ...there was some swelling apparently and he had to go back for an even more distasteful procedure-a few times.
Another guy tried to tough it out after the op and thought it would be a good idea to pump some iron... turns out that was a bad idea,a very bad idea.

Paul it was so good to hear Claire and the baby are ok

Meako have fun on your new adventure on stage.

Robb glad your recovering well.

Brett hope you feel better soon.

Jack superb work as usual. That skull looks great. You sir are a talented man.

thanks pal!

It has been to long since Ive had the time to read the threads.

Paul, brother, Im so thankful all is well. Continued prayers my friend.

The last few weeks have been crazy here, but Im forced to slow down for the next few days as I got the big snip yesterday.

Been there. Done that.

Heed the advice of Brother Meako and lay low for a couple of days. Should be no problems.

Brett,
The best advice my Doc gave me when I had the cut my friend, ....sit and chill.
I bought 4 x 250g pack of Peas....froze them - sat on them for two days and did bugger all, not a problem whatsoever!

OK Brett, I have to add my 2¢, pretty much as others have mentioned or in the words of Green Bays quarterback Aaron Rodgers last year's radio spot. R E L A X;):D

Unlike a buddy of mine that went bowling that very same night after the snip!!! I kid you not:o

Last spring there were doctors advertising March Madness specials. Guys could schedule their procedure to coincide with basketball playoffs. "Doctor's orders, Dear, I'm required to lie on the couch and watch sports all week." :D

Big manoeuvres approaching, let's hope there 's sufficient ammunitions... ;)

Couldn't imagine lifting any weight, bowling, or even wanting to risk it. Ive certainly just chilled out. The hydro the doc gave knocked me out yesterday. Slept for almost a day. Dont think I'll be taking that again. Im iced up till Sunday at least :D

Obviously if they'd typed in my name it would have been a less secret agency. I guess I can tell you now I was Section 1, Number 3.

Just about to board my plane to head into what seems a wartime. NZ has been hit by Earthquakes- Wellington and Christchurch - thankfully my youngest daughter is up in Auckland from Wellington right now. I on the other hand - I'm flying into Christchurch - I am amazed the flights are still going!

The worst hit is just north of Christchurch.
Have a good day folks 😄
