Thanks again for the words of encouragement fellas.

My family brought me some proper pajamas to wear, but so far have neglected to bring me a knife. :grumpy: Someone will pay for this egregious error. ;) :D

report back to us how they react to knives in the unit :D

Now don't go pocketing that plastic knife that comes with your meals; that'll land you in a whole 'nother hospital! ;)

Bob, if I was in your neck of the woods, I'd bring you one right now! I'm glad to hear that you are up and about.

I've had knives in the hospital in the past. I know in general they frown on it, but once they saw what I had, I usually got a smile. I know most that I've been in, their firewall blocks anything knife or weapon related so I just use my phone data for this site and their wifi for everything else.
The sad part is, there's a package siting at home waiting for me from a trade I made with Crazy Canuck. :o

No worries. Just have the package forwarded to my address. I'll put in in the GAW schedule (unless it's a scout pattern).

Up and walking about Bob, that is great news, really good to hear from you!!
make sure you get plenty of rest and try not to hassle those nurses too much.

All our love
Paul and Jan

Just giving an update. Things are progressing. I still have a lot of pain associated with the surgery, but I've been walking around the wing at the hospital a bit and driving the nurses crazy. :D Hoping to go home soon.
Todd, Barlow is a very handsome pup. He's growing quick. :D

Excellent! Drive those nurses crazy Bob. That's what they're there for!

And even more good news. My doctor was just in to see me and says I might be able to go home tomorrow or Saturday. :D

Oh awesome, bob!

Do me a favor, when you get around to responding to pm's, send me your address please sir.

Fantastic Bob. Keep 'em honest. As mentioned, you and I don't know each other except a few very kind notes from you on my noob posts. But seeing how this forum responded to your surgery and recovery, I know we're both in a good place and I've been pulling for you along with everybody else.

Bob, it's magnificent to hear you're up and walking the halls!:thumbup: Praying that you get home this weekend at the latest, and open that package from Mike!:D
As you stroll the hospital, remember Satchel Paige's advice: "Don't look back. Something might be gaining on you!"
