I think that, for me, the "like" button is too impersonal (and probably lazy...
I do wish there was a 'dislike' button just as there is a 'like'.

Great news, Randy!!...
They took the last of the staples out of my hand yesterday and it sure make's typing much easier. If all goes well I am scheduled tone released June 6. The first two things I want to get when I get home is a home cooked meal and a #47 Viper. (Hee Hee)
Congrats on all the milestones and the general "social whirl", Gary!...
Big weekend here. My youngest son defended his dissertation this past week. We'll be at his PhD Hooding Ceremony today at Cornell U. It's my grandson's first birthday, my oldest son's 34th, and we have friends from Portland, Maine visiting. There will be a few parties....
Have a great weekend folks!
FWIW, I'm OK with the new BF software. When I first happened upon BF over 3 years ago, I spent my first 7 months or so just lurking as a guest, and had to learn a lot about using the software. Then there was even more to learn after I became a member! So, I sort of think of learning how to use software features as part of the BF experience!...
Some of the things I miss are the old search function (once you'd worked out how to use it, it was really good), the ability to download PMs, and the 'Groups' function. I don't like the new smarticons, most of them don't seem to work for me. Nor do I like the way posts are now quoted. And I preferred 'Friends' to 'Followed/Followers'...
Congrats to Lyle and his new bride! So . . .check it out folks!
Our good friend Lyle is getting, or got (not sure of the time), MARRIED today!!

Happy 60th, Jer!!I made it, so Huzzah! to me.
I've never worried before about living till a certain time of day, but there's something extra solemn about the sixtieth birthday.
Now I need to come up with another mid-life crisis, to carry me to 120 years.
This is me, almost exactly 60 years ago:

I still sleep a lot.
Glad your people and property are undamaged, John.Yeah, a generator is one of those things you need for about 3-4 days, once every 10 years. The utility company says this is the 3rd worst city-wide damage in the history of the city. I remember the other 2 that were worse.
If it was just us and the one tree, they'd have it back on by Tuesday. But with 150,000 customers affected all over the city, they re estimating more than a week.
Jer, this made me laugh out loud in the kitchen, drawing "there-he-goes-again" looks from my wife and her 3 dogs!...
As for my hair, I try to keep it fluffy because it's so thin. On the plus side, if I get in a fight on a sunny day, I can blind my assailants with the dazzling reflectivity of my tonsure zone.
I should practice that more.
Happy 60TH SP! I'm about 6 months behind you, and been thinking about it some. If the big 60 is getting too you, look on the bright side: 60 has come and gone and you've started you're 61st year on this rock of ours.I made it, so Huzzah! to me.

We needed to completely clean out the fridge anyway.Gaaah.
Ive been trying to be positive about the new format but the rampant cynic in me is pounding on the door.
I just "liked" the fact that jc57 got hit by a massive storm.
Did we pick up the facebook virus or something?
