I agree, there is something about being at the beach.

I was there many years ago, first coup d'état. Lived on their biggest beach, Beau Vallon.
First time, I was there a year. It was a privilege beyond belief, had experiences that will live with me always and forever.
Amazing though, at the end of the first year - was sick of beaches, clear turquoise waters, blue skies and sunshine...........just wanted to go home.
I was home for three days - the place was the same, the weather was the same, the rain was the same - I wanted to go straight back. But I had made a choice. So, we can get used to somewhere so beautiful yet become complacent and contemptuous - and all we really need most the time is to 'touch base' and smell the coffee
Went back again a couple years later, not for so long, and, have taken the missus there couple times. Yip, dream place, for sure.
