Case/Bose 2011 Collaboration

Come on now, somebody has to have at least a phone there with a camera. Where are the spy shots.

Maybe you should have gone to SHOT. There is still time, show closes at 4:00 pm tomorrow, pst.

If not, maybe you should just ZIP IT!:) If people had spy shots and time to upload them...they would be here already.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Ok guys...seriously. How many hints did I leave in my posts!!!! We may have some knife nuts on here, but these nuts need to smarten up ;)

moonwilson, I hope to be buried in a coffin half as purty as that one! It might even make my corpse look good. ;) :p

Wow, I guess a guy can't get excited about a knife around here. Believe me, if I could be there I would be . . . thanks for the kind words.

Gents, let's take any feuding off the forum and to email or PM. STeven, perhaps you could try to cut a little slack...I'm just sayin'.

Prolly something like this, I would assume.

Edit: Dagnabbit! Dr. Bill beat me to the punch! I like the barehead a lot. Jacks should be barehead, IMHO. It just seems right. I like the bar shield on the images above. These will be old-school cool knives, of that there is no doubt.

Back on topic . . . I like the barehead a lot too. Either way would be fine with me though, I'm not picky.

That's just STeven guys...he means no harm and that is his way of saying he is ecstatic about the 2011 collab

Pardon me for being a rookie in such things but I have a question.
Are we ever going to see a Tony Bose/Case collaboration and a Reese Bose/Case collaboration?

hmm I preferred the tribal spear to this
design is fine, don't like the coffin shape

Ah, bummer! Same blades and size would have been great in a Eureka Jack handle instead. Oh well. Maybe the next one.

I would never say "never" but it's totally appropriate to say "probably not". Case's business relationship is exclusively with the Old Dog at the moment.

Stay tuned to this station folks as this is where I'll be posting the XX Prototypes when I get the high sign. ;)

I am perfectly happy looking at things like this right now. No hurries. George has the right idea.

I can get excited about this knife. I like the coffin shape quite a lot. Now, I wonder how long it will take until distributers/dealers get them.

I'm much more excited for a coffin jack than last years tribal spear.

You can pretty much lay money on the July-August time frame based on previous years. I was talking with Tony about this a couple of days ago...only there best best artisans (3 guys in the prototype shop) assemble these knives so it takes them quite a while to fill orders.

I was thinking it would be a great idea if each guy would stamp the inside of the liner so that you knew which artisan finished the knife. I think this would be a nice little touch that would add value.

"it would be a great idea if each guy would stamp the inside of the liner so that you knew which artisan finished the knife."
Yep. then i could specify same guy who worked making my Tribal Spear 'cause it's Perfect.

And that's probably why they won't do it...to avoid people clamoring and/or holding out for a particular knife from a particular Case craftsman.
