Case/Bose 2011 Collaboration

Nice details - access swedge on the pen so the main can lie low; wrap around spring to fill the unsightly gap - possibly the hardest part is the hafting; transition from a flat cap to a round bolster; not losing the "swell" with a touch too much sanding/grinding. Hope they live up to the prototype!
Loverly knife! Gor',I needs to git one!!

Here ya go, folksy friends...the 2011 Case/Bose Collab. Prototypes. This is NOT an easy knife to make so they will have their game face on with this one. That said, they made the lockback whittler so everything else is a piece of cake after that. :D

BUMP!!
Bandwidth be da*ned, we need the images again on this page!! That's a knife to be ogled!!

Yep. That's going to be a "gotta have it" knife. I love that bone on the prototype!!! My only concern is getting to the nail nick on the main, but wow, that is really sweet. I am definitely going to have to get one of those.

There's wayyyyyy enough room to get to the pull....DUH, it's a BOSE! :p

Oh yeah baby. That one will give the dogleg and Norfolk some serious competition for time in my pocket.

Thanks Kerry!, BTW if you plan on making one, bring that pup to Blade and I'll be glad to take it home. :D.

Thanks, Kerry, I've been anticipating your pictures. I am happy about the 3 1/2 inch size too. I assume the handle choices will be the standard stuff that is usually offered? What a nice pattern, so cool.

Thanks for the pics Kerry.......what a knife....I'm excited.

Yowzaa! Gotta start putting more coins in the coffee can.
Did I miss the sell date?

Yeah, me too. What with this collab knife and the forum knife, I'm not going to be buying nearly as many regular production knives in 2011. Quality over quantity.... I really don't need much quantity anyway, the things are all over the house now.

I'm in on this one. Nice to see both pulls facing front with the help of some clever swedging. The squarish profile makes the best of Case's tendency toward labor saving boxy handles these days. I miss the old XXs with their more pocket/hand-friendly elliptical profiles, but Coffin Jacks are boxy by definition, so this pattern is a great choice.

The cap sure does not look very labor saving to me. ;).

Oh come on, Bastid. They'll be farming this one out to new hires for practice, it's so easy. ;)
