Thanks very much for the heads up on the Stockman knife! I was able to snag one in Ebony. Those prices were excellent, especially compared to current GEC pricing. A far better knife for not much more money. I sure hope that Case continues the collaboration knives with Reese. They would be crazy not too. That relationship is the main thing that keeps current Case knives relevant to me. Of course, if they don’t, the price of the existing knives should skyrocket.

I hope you are able to get one in Jigged Bone Will Power Will Power . The Chestnuts are on the orange side. The others are more brown. There is quite a bit of variation in the dye work. I much prefer to see what it looks like before purchasing. I am not sure of the name of the color of my Locking Lanny, but it is a very nice rich brown.

One of Tony’s customs on the left and a Case collaboration on the right.

Of course the original is better, but it would cost much, much more! The collabs are personally designed by Tony and give the feeling of an original. The materials are high quality and the craftsmanship is usually top notch, if not Case will fix it for free. My understanding is that Tony would make two identical custom knives and take one of them apart for Case to use to exactly replicate the knife using state of the art machinery.

These knives represent a unique value with a close connection to Tony Bose. They have also been holding their value on the secondary market. Not a bad deal at all.

I’ve been wanting a Bose Eureka Jack for years, but I’m weird about buying it sight unseen. Even though return policies are usually pretty forgiving, in don’t wanna be disappointed.

I’m quite a fan of it, and it prompted me to sell off my other Case Bose collabs (which I don’t miss). I would certainly miss my Eureka Jack. The spear point is an awesome do all shape and the tiny wharncliffe is excellent for opening mail or detail work. The handle doesn’t feel as weird as you might think.

Hate to see the collaborations come to an end, but understandable. It was a nice run with some classic patterns put into production. I know the toothpick is considered such, but seems a bit anticlimactic to end with. Wonder a bit how it’ll sell at the current price point Case is pushing for.

Looks like Case announced the final Case Bose Collaboration knife at Blade Show. It will be a Toothpick pattern, looks pretty nice!
I wonder if Reese would be willing to step up to the plate and continue the Collaborations?

Toothpick? Didn’t see that one coming. I like a nice toothpick. They evoke fond childhood memories for me. 😊

I don't know Reese but I have talked to a few makers and collectors who know him well. I would be surprised if he would have any intrest and to be honest if I were Case I'd close the book on the project. That said I think it would be a great opportunity for Case to establish a new partnership with a maker and market that relationship going forward. The tooling is already in place for the production end of it. I can't imagine they don't utilize that tooling capability going forward.

I hope they continue producing their high end knives.
They could even start making some of their standard patterns with the higher level of materials and finishes.
