Case Tony Bose Collabs pic and discussion thread.

I hope they continue producing their high end knives.
They could even start making some of their standard patterns with the higher level of materials and finishes.
Yep, like I said, I can't imagine they just quit using those established processes and tooling. How they proceed going forward will be intriguing.

I don't know Reese but I have talked to a few makers and collectors who know him well. I would be surprised if he would have any intrest and to be honest if I were Case I'd close the book on the project. That said I think it would be a great opportunity for Case to establish a new partnership with a maker and market that relationship going forward. The tooling is already in place for the production end of it. I can't imagine they don't utilize that tooling capability going forward.
Good to know, it was worth a ponder.
If Case were to do that, I wonder who they would collaborate with? Not many makers have brought back old patterns like TB. I sure hope they wouldn’t do any modern “traditional” folders collabs, I wouldn’t buy a Jared Oeser collaboration.

I would not presume to speak for Reese or speculate about his feelings. However, I do know him well enough to be certain that he would be up to the task and would do an excellent job developing new collaboration knives. Case really should work out an agreement with him.

No one else can keep this legacy going. He has spent decades working side by side with his father. Their knives are almost identical. Only Reese fully understands how Tony approached this project.

I certainly hope the information we are receiving is not written in stone. Otherwise, it will be a sad turn of events indeed.

I was disappointed to learn, after calling about the status of my recent order, that the premium stockman is on backorder. They said they expect them to ship soon. Just a heads up for anyone that ordered one during the recent sale and hasn't received it yet.

My apologies to the mods for discussing the purchasing process, just wanted to pass that along.

Also disappointed to hear that the collaboration knives are coming to an end. Especially since I've only just decided to dip my toes in the water. Very much enjoying everyone's photos and discussion in this thread!

I just recently learned that the swayback jack was a Bose design. Seems like a patter loved by many! I haven’t ever seen a high end collab build of a SBJ, but that would be awesome. I’m sure if it exists, one of you has it :)

My favorite Bose/Case collaboration along with my favorite GEC/ waynorth waynorth collaboration.

Lander boy Matt Lander boy Matt , I got the same response about the Stockman. They sounded sincere, and I do not believe they are up to no good, but how can these be on back order? They are new old stock and no more are being produced. Either you have them or you don’t. I am not going to hold my breath on this one. Did you also order the $299 special on your Stockman AnW AnW ?

R rishma They have not made a collaboration knife with the Swayback. However, there are some very nice versions floating around out there. Will Power Will Power has my favorite. It is a winterbottom type bone with a damascus blade. Beautiful! There was also a recent Shot Show Special that looked great. The Swayback is classic Tony Bose. Good luck finding them.

Yes, I ordered using the special today. I spoke to someone at the store and they indicated the knives should be in soon. I should have asked more questions about where they’re coming from.

I see! Thanks for the info. I wanted a chestnut bone in CV for a long time, it was a very common option before it was discontinued and now they are quite rare.

Love this knife, but I just prefer the size of the Cattle Knife, so this one doesn't get alot of pocket time.
