OUCH CASEMine came, but it had 3 gaps between the liners and the springs. Gonna see if I can return it or send it back to Case.
Well that’s certainly disappointing. Mine should arrive tomorrow or Monday. Hoping for the best.Mine came, but it had 3 gaps between the liners and the springs. Gonna see if I can return it or send it back to Case.
That's acceptable on their $50.00 knives, but not on their $300.00+ knives... I'd definitely send it in for repairs.Mine came, but it had 3 gaps between the liners and the springs.

SHC shouldn't give you any problems at all on the return; they've always been easy to work with in the past in my experience. However, you might get a faster response by calling. They always get back to me, but I usually call if there's an issue since it's faster. They have always been very helpful. They would probably be willing to exchange it for one without issues if you want. They've done that in the past.Yeah it is a bummer. I contacted the vendor to see if I can just return it, but no response yet. Does anyone have any experience sending to Case warranty/repairs before?
My experience with Case warranty repairs has been good. It wasn’t fast, but the work was very good. One knife I sent in to replace a backspring that had become lazy over the years. They also replaced a broken bone scale on it that broke when I dropped it on the concrete. I didn’t ask for the scale to be replaced and didn’t expect them to do it. They just did it at no charge.Yeah it is a bummer. I contacted the vendor to see if I can just return it, but no response yet. Does anyone have any experience sending to Case warranty/repairs before?

Based on the number of knives they’re putting out, they probably have a lot of people that are sharpening knives. Some may be better than others, but I’m sure they have a bunch of guys that can sharpen well.I'm curious how a company that's been in business for so long can't find a guy that can sharpen well. Oh well, I'm still gonna buy them...

For sure. You would hope they have their best cutlers on those collaboration knives.Yeah, I get that....but they should probably find one or two of those guys when it's time to sharpen $500 knives. Just sayin...
Update: thank you enablers! I have one coming.View attachment 1847279View attachment 1847284View attachment 1847282View attachment 1847283
Fresh out of the mailbox. Paper slicing sharp. Grinds look good to me, but I am not a student of grinds. Blades are tight, action is smooth. The spey is a bit softer in its action, but snappy none the less. On the backside, one spring is slightly low on one end creating the appearance of a gap, but it is not a gap. (Only us knife knuts would even notice such a thing.)
154 CM, milled liners, pivot bushing, pinned shield, gorgeous Ebony, and three great blades all of this precisely replicated from a custom Tony Bose Premium Stockman for $299! Wow, you cannot get much better than that.
I had the opposite when I sent mine in. They did a quick 3 minute buff and said it was good to go... I was actually pretty appalled at their customer service. I was tempted to send it in a 2nd time but didn't bother. My experience with Case warranty repairs has been good. It wasn’t fast, but the work was very good.
