Cast Iron Beckerheads, Sound Off!

Onion duly diced and garlic duly crushed with the trusty BK7.
"All other ingredients" marinating in their own juices. Subbed JWB for the Laphroaig, had to make my own teriyaki from scratch, and I've never seen HP Sauce - so I used 1/2 A-1 and added molasses, OJ and a couple other items to round out the difference in ingredients.
I'll cook the sauce in the Lodge Cast Iron over tomorrow night's campfire in order to enjoy it on Saturday's dinner.
Wish me luck...

My mouth is already watering. This is gonna be good!

Okay, take two.

Picked up this cover at the Lodge outlet on the way home from Blade. Going to hit it with some Camp Dry.

The Lodge Outlet is an evil place! Just about as bad as SMKW across the street.

You should try the one in South Pittsburg too.

Ok, now I'm hungry. Thanks Gunyon.

Wow, loving that waffle maker... do they still make them like that? I'll have to try to find one, it would certainly help me to better fulfill my new millennium New Years resolution which was to do my absolute best to eat more waffles...:)

Everyone should eat more waffles. Especially with maple syrup and bacon.

I have a couple cast iron pans that my mom had for forever. I think they were actually passed down to her from my grandparents, so there is no telling how old they are. I love cooking with them. We have some expensive non stick stuff that my Gf loves, but if I'm cooking I grab the cast iron. I think the pans are 8" and 10". No idea what brand, but they are awesome!!!

I believe there is a sportsmans grill in my very near future.

I love how many bacon brands have come out with what they call "Butcher's Cut"....extra extra thick slices, just the way I like it. As for that smokin' brisket above, the best part are the burn't ends, re-marinated and re-smoked.

The bacon above is Benton's bacon. It's the only cut they do.

I always buy slab bacon. I hate those thin slices that tear when you try to separate it, then cook equally as bad.

That BBQ sauce is something else!
"Piquant" comes to mind. A friend's daughter who likes spicy was eating it by the spoonful, literally.
Tastes nothing like the ketchup it's made from, or any sauce I'd ever had from a can, bottle or jar.
I think it'll be awesome on ribs - but haven't been able to try it yet.
Great on hot dogs and sausages. Erm, interesting, on hamburgers.
I have a couple shots of it cooking - I'll try to update when I get them uploaded.

Thanks for posting it.
If you're on the fence, try it out. My wife is not a spicy fan, and was kind of "meh" - but two friends thought it absolutely fantastic.

Here's a pic of it cooking in cast iron over hot coals. When I'm doing stuff, I'm generally busy doing so not many pictures get taken.

ps - should've tried it on the bacon...
