Bad Caution when dealing with Bladerunner7

The best is his profile page he’s got another like minded person letting him know he was right in what he did. This guy is someone that BF could do without. Just think if he treats a person he’s trading with like this how do you think he treats his customers. I bet the customers never right with this guy. I’m with everyone else I hope the BF staff step in and take care of this guy.

@ Blade Runner 7 ... You have a perfect right to reverse a trade that you are unhappy with, even if it’s because it’s a well documented issue, that to those in the know, consider it a non-issue. Do you not understand that once you start to disassemble the knife, you forfeit the right of return? You voided the warranty. Do you really think that a public and cavalier disregard of your trading partner is a good business model decision?

You can fix this. Mostly. Try a public apology. Own it. Keep the MT. Send him the Spydie. Quickly. Or see who is right. You or this community. Happy New Year.

I feel the title to this thread is a GROSS understatement. I'm sure the OP meant well, but "caution", more like "run away".

Ya, I saw that. And he replied "Glad someone else has common sense".o_O Common sense dictates that you do not mess with other peoples property without their explicit permission! Until a trade is complete that knife is not yours!

I took a look at Bladerunner7's thread and watched his video as well. As an owner of Microtech OTFs, my sense is that all the little noises he makes opening and closing it are for dramatic affect--nothing more, nothing less. Still, maybe his inability to open and close the knife as easily as he would like is real. Fine. That still does not excuse his "holier than thou" attitude, taking the OTF apart when the trade has not been been completed, and taking the position that, "Hey, Microtech will never know this knife was opened unless you tell them."

@Blade Runner 7, do you always avoid doing the right thing if you won't get caught doing the wrong thing, like notifying a knife manufacturer that you voided their warranty? Your ethics and sense of entitlement are "way off" in my book.

The post on his wall just lets everyone else know that there is another person not worth dealing with.

@Pima Pants has the Blade Forum presence of someone who signs on once a year or so anyway. I doubt they’re worth taking a second look at lol. Glad they found each other though, maybe he needs a lot of anodizing done.

Hey man if the knife you receive is what you traded for then just go on knowing this guys attitude and actions put himself in a terrible light with the knife community here.
I'll update when I get the military, says it should be here today. I'm very upset due to the fact that he told me he liked the knife and it looks good then went behind me on the forums to do this.

And if it's condition isn't what was described..what then? Bad juju to not make sure everyone is happy before the deal is truly done.
Not saying that is what's going to happen,..it just has the potential to be a more serious issue.

If he's not satisfied, then bladerunner7 should send him the money for a replacement knife and he may as well have just bought himself a new knife to begin with instead of trying to do a trade!

And BR7 will be the one sending first this time!

Wow, some people amaze me. This blade runner fella seems arrogant and always right in his mind. Even when he is wrong and has no idea how these MT otf work. Certainly no one to deal with. Thanks - one more to add to the ignore list.

The dude has 95 positive transactions, zero negative, and shipped his part of the trade.
Correct?

When you have 100 positive transactions and zero negative, you don't have to ship your part of the trade.

He only has 5 to go, hopefully this one ends well.

Do you think bladerunner7 is in the right? If you sent him your OTF in a trade would you thank him for disassembling it while he hung onto your end of the trade? Because that's the impression I get when you pressed the like button on @Pima Pants post.
