Bad Caution when dealing with Bladerunner7

You had no cause to feel "ripped off". He sent to you first. Why be pissed off? Contact him and say "no go". Send it back and move on.

I've been reading this train wreck of a thread without having the desire to step in till now! If I had to answer your rhetorical question, I would say that Mr. Bladerunner has a very inflated sense of entitlement just because of his higher feedback. Someone please explain to him what the expression, "you can't have your cake and eat it too" means!

Mostly true. I e had people demand I pay for their shipping cost though. I also have to worry about someone leaving bad feedback (which I’m obviously stressed about here now that it’s gone this far). I figured I kinda had to send the Military unless it was a blatant rip off which it wasn’t.

I see that point. I’ve had to take the losing end more than a few times in deals in order to keep the peace. I’m pretty proud of it and yeah that probably has made me sound like a douche. Sorry for that.

No Sir! All you had to do was to inspect and then decline the trade transaction from the very outset. So what that you may have had to pony up the return shipping cost, if you trade partner was going to become difficult and obtuse about it? Let me give you a tip Sir! It's called cost of doing business and any reasonable business person ought to know that there are costs at times which are just going to be losses and write-offs. It's a hard yet true part of doing business in general and doing trade type deals.

From my perspective, the cost of doing business was having to fix a malfunctioning knife. I was up to the task. It worked out. It didn’t feel like something was broken. Not right either. I thought it was something I could figure out. Turned out to be easier than I expected. If I thought it was really broken, I would have turned the MT away right away.

The fact that you don't see anything wrong with this statement is exactly the reason this thread exists.

It is the cost of a failed trade. It's also negligible within the US. If McSharp is pleased with what you sent him then let it go! Once you decided to keep it and open it you gave up any claim to reverse the deal. I just hope he is happy with the actual trade. Otherwise it will be your loss. Live and learn.

This is a quote from you off the thread you closed.
“It’s a trade. I haven’t sent out my side of the trade yet. If I can figure out how to fix it, I will. If not, I’ll send it back to the guy.” Tell us what give you the right to take apart a knife that isn’t yours yet? This isn’t how trades are done here if you didn’t feel the knife he sent you was right you send it back end of story. You definitely don’t take it apart and send it back if you can’t fix it that’s not your right to do. You know why everyone is siding with the op because you came off and acted like a entitled brat in your thread. He has been nothing but calm cool and collected. So what you were pissed deal with it act like a grownup and send the knife you weren’t happy with back. You are getting what you deserve here nothing less don’t play the victim.

I really feel like you aren’t understanding me or I’m not conveying my thought very well. What’s wrong with me taking on the chin and fixing a knife? I didn’t plan to actually send it back to him.

I got that. I’ve said it so many times. What am I missing? How else can I say I never planned to send the MT back to him? It was just me spouting off out of frustration. I wasn’t trying to reverse the deal. Just fix my knife. I didn’t even start a thread about the trade. Just asking if anyone has had any experience with stiff actions.

This has been addresses many times. Please read through the whole thread.

Smh agian you are getting what you deserve. Op agian hope the knife you were sent is what you expected. His trade rating dosent matter anymore when searched this will always pop up and future buyers will see his true colors.

Guess we’ll see my true colors when his knife shows up. Remember I sent it before this thread was started. I sent it the first day I possibly could.

No, you're not getting it. It's not your knife until the deal is done! You need to be prepared to send it back if he isn't happy on his end. You were sent first because of his low transaction history compared to yours. It's not your knife until the trade is aknowledged as acceptable on both ends. I'm sure you were confident that he would like what you were trading, but it's not a done deal just because you got the knife and decided to keep it. That's only half way Sir.

Yeah I guess. I can see that but the knife I sent him is absolutely brand new. And besides, like I said earlier, if he’s not happy I’ll buy him a new MT. I don’t like to throw that out there though because I’m always wary of people taking advantage of my willingness to make deals work out. I keep a “cross that bridge” conversation but in my head I know I always make it right.

Man you are completely oblivious to the totally wrong way you handled this whole deal and have a excuse for everything. I can tell this isn’t your first time dealing with a problem due to your arrogance because you are a master at backpedaling and blame shifting. It’s a lost cause this guy isn’t getting it at all.
