I haven't sold a ton of knives here but I've done my fair share of transactions and I will say this, for what it's worth:

When I sell a knife I go to, often times ridiculous, lengths to be sure that the item is described and photographed accurately. Upon following up with buyers I usually have them tell me that the knife was "in better shape than expected". I really think that erring on this side of straightforwardness is the only way to go. Some defects/scratches/marks may bother one person and not bother another. However, careful inspection of a knife and a full description of any findings is definitely a must.

Thats a rare knife, one many would consider lucky to own, I have had uncoated LE sr101 (and yes know sob is infi, but it will stain) blades develop spotting during shipping when receiving internationally, could the seller have neglected just to tell me they were there, ya, but unless the knife is unusable or severely stained/rusted/banged up I'm not gonna complain. Cause I'm not overly anal and picky that's gonna put somebody out of money over little things unless think they have done something really wrong, like not receiving an item due to extremely poor packaging, broken blade, unusable knife, ectecetecet.

Think people should stop pointing fingers, including me,:rolleyes: cause if you continue to buy or sell on bf(forums)with new people(and I mean that as people you haven't done business with before) you will end up here in gbu eventually trying to defend yourself whether your in the right or wrong against people that will NEVER ACTUALLY KNOW ALL THE FACTS. But think they do. People use the word community around here alot, but sure doesnt take much for everybody to turn on each other at the drop of a hat. I'm sure zakjak has more deals here than FB even shows, all 100%, there's a reason for that, that's all I'm saying. Sure will make things right one way or other, I know if I wasn't the cause of that little bit spotting/rust, I wouldn't want to pay for it either.

But who knows.

I recall you feeling very differently when you purchased a couple griptilians that arrived with undisclosed problems.
It's not your place to decide what is acceptable when it's not your transaction. Based solely on your posts in this thread I would not deal with you.
The seller was less than honest in this transaction and didn't handle it appropriately when called out.
 
Hi folks, zakjak has offered to cover the bill for having the tube replaced and having the scales cleaned and agreed to paying the shipping cost. It's on me to cover any additional costs if there are any to have the knife refinished if I so choose. I'm satisfied that he's making good on getting the knife back to the condition it was described as being in the sales post. Thanks again for all the support in getting the issue resolved.

Either if wasn't at fault.

Too ogdog, Busse will fix anything on this sob free of charge, will make it look pristine new, not worth going through all this imo, those Benchmades were majorly voided of warranty, garbage, your right though, hypocritical, im sticking up for someone i knew would make things right, at fault or not, and he did, bottom line, more pictures, more details, less problems.
