Awesome!

Did you do the acid-etch stonewash yourself? Looks great on a 940

Thanks P!

Yes, I did it myself. I had to dip it multiple times to get it so dark, and then did a light stonewash (enough to show the blade grind contours but keep it dark).

Did you use PCB Etchant? Also, how long did you dip the blade for?

I was planning on trying it on one of my SS split-arrow clips a few weeks ago but never got around to it. Might give it a test run this week.

I did use pcb from radio shack. What I'm about to tell you is guesstimates, but here's how I did it:

Dipped the blade for about 6-7 minutes initially. Pulled it out and dropped it in a bowl of water to clear the acid drops off and see that it was a dull grey.
Didn't dry it off or anything, but dipped it again in the acid for 30 seconds-1 minute and repeat with the water. Did that 6 or 7 times to get it to the darkness I wanted. It gradually darkened (every knife I've done has worked out a little differently because steels all react a little different).

Then I did a really light stonewash by putting it with smooth rocks and wd-40 (or some other lubricant) in a small paint can and shaking it aggressively by hand for 10-15 minutes. The stonewash is really what makes the difference.

Been awhile since I posted anything.
