Challenge: Carry only one for a month

I've carried only the same two daily for about two years now. Vic Farmer on the belt and an old Ulster 180/Craftsman 9507 in my pocket.

I have carried the same knife since I joined Blade Forums in 2005 and probably another 7 or 8 years prior to that. Left it once at a job site and activated a replacement I have for the next day. I have several additional spares of this particular model. It's discontinued now, so when that happened, I stocked up a bit. BUT, this doesn't change the fact that I like to buy new knives to play with and do it as I feel the urge. The SAK is always in my pocket. That has always been my dilemma with new knives. The SAK stays and it's hard to carry something else.

I, like many here, have a SAK on my person every day since I was a child, and it handles most cutting chores and tasks

But again, I also carrya folder (Pacific Salt) that rides in my pocket every day, every week of every month for the past two years.

Other folders get carried and used, but this one has its own dedicated pocket and shares pants with whatever other option I choose to carry and the SAK

Sometimes a multitool also gets carried, usually in a belt sheath

But SAK and Pac Salt are always there to serve!

Day 2:
Just got back from work so I haven't really used it today yet, but I did cut up some broccoli for dinner last night and opened a bag of chicken feed

I think this is interesting. I bought a delica 4 back in 2011 or 2012. It was the only pocket knife I owned and I carried it everyday. I liked it a lot and never felt the need for another knife. Then around fall last year I decided I wanted something a little nicer looking. I bought the native 5. Then within a few months, I bought a benchmade 940-1, a sage 3, and then a delica 4 stainless. For me, it seems to have turned into a quest to find the perfect single pocket knife and it seems that the more I buy, the more discerning I become, then the more I have to continue to buy because no single knife seems to match the feeling I originally had with my delica 4 many years ago.

Ok, a little more use today. We've had some rain lately, so the chicken coop egg door swelled and the latch wouldn't close. I had to trim a little off the edge of the door to get it to work, while curious chickens looked on.

Pup worrying over me because I had a migraine. Snapped a quick pic for y'all but didn't post it because migraines suck.

The grip has held up well this week. Took some wrappers of of doors.

I repaired a hose which the grip cut through like butter. Also opened a few hard plastic wrapped items. The edge is still good. I usually use the knife 15-20 times a day but slow week I guess.

I did however open and close it about a hundred times just for fun and to break it in. It's almost perfect.

I think you're typical and your story is similar to mine. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. The change also is consistent with the time you joined BF which is typical too. Lots of enablers here.

Nothing really interesting today, cut up an apple and cut some twine to tie up newspapers

Day 6 now I think?

Taking it easy watching my step son do household chores while I sit on the couch. His mouth got a little too smart for his own good. Talked his way into cleaning the house.

I,like a few others here have been carry my 2 knives for a while now. My Kershaw Corral Creek has been in my pocket for 25 or so years and the Kershaw 1670BW for maybe 4 or 5 years. It would have been interesting to watch what happened under the original parameters.
