Lunch time!

Been bustin my ass all morning, litterally running to get my orders received, stocked, and write new PO's. Got way ahead schedule!

Also, over 4th of July week I was scheduled with 3 days off and having the 4th as a paid holiday. Well this past Friday rolls around and I notice I'm short 8 hours on my check! So before I can even bring it up to my boss, he comes to me telling me that it was his mistake and he will make it right. Today he comes in and hands me cash for a days wages! Been a long time since I have worked with an honest boss! He knows I work hard for this company and its just nice to know he sees it.

Chasin down my turkey sandwhich with a handfull of ibuprofin, my knees are killing me!

Where is everyone?


Just finished my breakfast, went out for a spanish omlette, country 'taters and toast. Great little greasy spoon restaraunt two blocks from home. The wife is at work and its her birthday, going to dinner tonight then headed for the beach this weekend! Should be fun. Might eve get drunk, find a cheap motel and trash a room!

Well, my lame FIL has gone and pissed off his GF, so she kicked him out and he's back on my couch, ugh. I'm tired of running a homeless shelter for her dead beat family members. Daniel, make me something big, choppy, and scarey looking, I'm gonna chase these bums out! I don't even want to go home.

Is that raspberry lambic? I once isolated my own culture and made a sour raspberry beer. If that is the beer I think it is I love that stuff.

Darrel I remember a place on S. Lamer that had the best food... open late night and has killer Monte Cristos! I forget the name but Austin has so many great places to eat. My Sister and Mom went there last week... I think they went to Wheatsville Co-op among other places. I remember going there way back in the day...

My thing in Austin was hitting every music store and pawn shop in S. Austin just about every weekend and more... I liked to repair/consign/trade music gear. Fun stuff!


Yesterday was epic, I think we mailed out 19 packages! I had a police escort follow the armored truck...


Today will be Pocket Fighters and Folders! I'm still pretty slow on the folders but getting there. I'm hoping to command a large fleet of drill presses as soon as I can, lol!
 
Yes, that is the rasberry lambic. It thew my off seeing the new label, but the beer is delicious! Started with a Rochefort 10, then went hoppy with Stone Ruinten (limited release - crazy hoppy beer) and finished with the Frambois.

I know you'll do that design justice!

Yes! I told them to make the hair longer but am really happy with the end result! ...just waiting on the royalties :D :D :D
 
Just sorting all the knives on my Amazon wish list - great tool for remembering and prioritizing which knives you want...even if you buy them elsewhere. I bought my first Spyderco recently (a Resilence), and LOVE IT!! Next on my list is another Spyderco....the Blue Sage I'm thinking :)
 
so I was wondering if that Wharncliffe Daniel has for sale would be right for me. I picked a knife I think has particularly good ergo for me and was looking for a measuring tape to check things out. I could only find the 100' tape that I use around our property. I had a big tangle of tape on the bed as I was carefully examining my knife and my wife walked in. I felt like I got caught looking at dirty pics lol

I consider that handle shape to be very versatile. The knife itself is very thinly ground so it really slices, is ultralight/slim and has a very pointy tip. very pointy.

So to me it depends, this one is big but more of a surgical instrument than a "hard use" knife...
 
Hey I apologize for being MIA. Was dealing with a lot of long distant trips to doctors and found out I am going to be a grandpa. I finally had my spinal fusion on July 8th. I now have 2 steel cages fused in my spine at the L5,S1 area. I will say I will never let anyone cut on my back again!!!

I can not wait to be able to get out in the woods and use my 2 monster Bowie knives I have from Daniel. I have found that I can do any tasks with these bad boys! They are both 8 inch blades and .34 thick at the spine and lazer sharp!!!!!
 
big, glad you are out of that surgery ok and on your way to feeling human soon again, take it slow and try to keep your sanity :D
 
Good to hear BigCountry! I was just thinking about you today... Congratulations too! :cool:

I'm glad to hear the knives are doing well too... I was really happy with the way they turned out and that is even better!
