Good stuff Xander! :D

Hey Xander if you are off work tomorrow . come on by if you can get any of your shop stuff done over here. I miss you man!:D
Daniel , I will whip up one of those homeopathic hippie remedies and send it to ya if you don't get better soon. I'll do it , I will! :D Feel better bro!
Wait, are you sure it isn't just the glue? :p
Good night y'all
Oh yeah the glue! :D

Thanks and have a good one!

Kev, I work tomorrow but have a couple hours in the morning. I might not get to sneak out to the shop, with the kiddo's 4th birthday on Wednesday I'll likely end up having to clean something so our family doesn't balk at our dirty baseboards of someting.

Just one of those nights, drinkin my dinner and smokin my dessert. Sailor Jerry and a Rocky Patel. Sitting under the almond tree in 72* windless night. Got the pellet pistol next to me ready for the rats to run across the wires. Damn it feels good to be a gangsta.

Dirty baseboards! :D

I hope it was a good evening!

He aint sick! He's taking pix.
:D

It makes the knives even sicker looking!

Good morning DFK!!
Good morning! Hey Ben!

Hi Ben!
Mornin DFK bit-chez. :D
I hope to have my FIRST DFK soon.
Pretty soon, as soon as I get some decent shop time in... :D

Still dizzy, if I lean too far it feels like I am falling... not cool! My allergies are off the scale and I'm sure most of the reason.

Today we are getting some mail out!

Without to much detail... mailing and buying policy is changing to buying through my site! :D

3/10 of the Backpacker run is still here at my house... I had absolutely no contact info for several of the buyers and it made my "mail detective" work harder than usual. In the future that isn't gong to happen! :)

I have a knife finished up, it is just incredible! I had to take pics as soon as the rain lets up. :D Black sunburst grips... trailing point! the shiny one

Mornin' people. Another glorious day! Hopefully Daniels feelin' better today.

lol I'm here! :D Good morning!

Sunburst Scales... inspired by the older Gibson guitar finishes

Murray Carter inspired also! I have both of his books and am a big fan... I think this is my own style but I would like to give big credit to Mr. Carter for the all around inspiration!

I'm diggin' the handle ! I have always wanted a Les Paul custom in that beautiful muted metallic green that Gibson did way way back.

...just checked and that is lint on the bottom right corner of the scales... looked like a delamination point in the pic! oh the horror! lol I ran to check it

Black G10 over Natural Canvas Micarta... it came out so evenly finished it almost looks like carbon fiber in the pic! 3 black pins..

That is a cool color! I almost stained a guitar green once... wound up mixing red and brown stain after my sunburst didn't turn out! scalloped fretboard like Yngwie, lol! I bought the guitar for $25 and it is a nice Ibanez, at the time it had a lightning bolt painted over the factory hot pink! EVH style with one pickup

Tobacco Sunburst, kind of like what Robert Johnson played...

Sweet!

Alas, no shop time today. I got stuck with cleaning the bathroom from top to bottom. I did wear my respirator to keep the fumes at bay, though!

Now its time to get read for work...but I would rather be here....

That's me up front in the white hat.

The lines on that boat are incredible! Boat hull design was a hobby of mine. (lol, yes) Classic! Nice pic

We both have respirators for that sort of stuff! After using one they are very handy to have around.

Safety FIRST!
It's not that bad, Daniel. More of a pia. Like all of us, who can afford to get sick?
Thanks...
RockOn!! :D

Yep, classic is right! That's a 1960's Columbia 5.5 meter, hull number 19. We have won 7 out of 11 titles in that boat. I just love the class.

If you like hull design, check out Hull Form, its free design software for hull design. I used it for model boats quite a bit. Cool stuff. For some radical boats with crazy designs, check out the following classes: International Canoe, International Moth, I14 (I own one named RIOT! hence the name), 12 foot skiff, and old school hot rods like the Ultimate 30 (some cool vids on youtube of these sailing at Corpus Christi), IOR boats had weird designs to take advantage of rules, Santa Cruz 50 (raced one a bunch), Moore 24 (also raced these for years), Mumm 30 (search Mumm 30 death roll...!) And I could keep going with awesome boat designs. But the first few classes are the most interesting I think.

Ok, here is a cool video of the International Moth class world championships 2012. These boats (if you can call them that) are ridiculous! Fully foiling, sail faster than the wind (true), weigh less than case of beer (not really, but close!), can be home built, are pretty damn exciting and watch out for the high speed crossings!

I'm sorry to hear that, maybe you can update the list and if we recognize any of them we can help to reach them and kindly give them a heads up to complete the order, hopefully ;)
