Evening DFK fans. Xander, after I was laid off I took this job just to have a job. I'm a machinist by trade, but I'm bending sheet metal for ovens on a bake press right now. It's at a very large well know company. Their name rhymes with "burl spool". I don't plan on being there any longer than necessary.

Good use of the night. Did my chores for Ash, took her and Logan for some hot chocolate.

Also, hung pegboard, finished cutting up and removing the last big pieces of the old workshop. Cleaned up the basement some (yay totes!).

Oh, we put this together too. Soooo nice!

Been a while since I have posted on hear. First off thanks for all the smoke and prayers for my wife! After having to live at my mother in laws for over 6 months while my wife got her cancer treatments we are home now. I am happy to say she is 100 % cancer free from her esophageal cancer. Was a very hard time in our family's life but we have been blessed and made it through it.

Thanks again for the support!!

Tight grinder, now make some sharps!

Big, that is good news for you guys, congrats!

OUT OF CONTROL FRIKKIE, YES! :D

Morning guys! Mike, hope all is getting back to normal for you and Tina at home now. Get out and shoot something brother, get your life going again!

Bobby, nice grinder doood.

Wilson, I can totally relate to have a job as a place holder and keeping food on the table. I've done that before, it's easier to get a job when you have a job.

Just bought my first AR15 yeaterday! Well, a stripped lower and upper receiver to build my own how I want. Should he at my FFL by Friday then my 10 day starts and I should have it by Monday after easter! I'm gonna be like "pew pew pew pew!" Lol.

Woo! Congrats on the AR15 purchase! Should give you something sweet to focus and take pics of.

Twicearmed is building one. I am inpatient and may take the "buy the entire gun" approach >_>

Yeah, there is a killer deal on the Mossberg ar, that's what my dad just got. He paid $619.99 before tax, dros, shipping, transfer, and having a bullet button installed. Cool little gun, no forward assist and free float forearm. Classic A2 stock. In 5.56 chamber.

For me it came down to either rebarreling my 1917, or building this. I still have a couple thousand rounds of life left with "minute of coyote" accuracy, but it's going to need a new barrel soon. Not bad for making it 95 years! Besides, it's always better to have more toys!

10 Days!?!?! That sucks...I will never understand those laws, especially for a person who already owns a gun.

Morning fellas!

Day off today WOOHOO!!! Nuf' said.

Drewbonez-you should try a handgun here, 21 day wait, have to have a license and pass a test just to buy one, transport laws are ridiculous as well, usually people are sold a special lock at time of purchase.

Fortunately the way I'm doing my paperwork it falls under just generic "longun" registration, and not "assault rifle" and doesn't need to deal with other stuff. It's a hassle for sure...

Nice benefit of PA, I guess. I walked into the shop that had the 1911 I wanted, filled out a single page form, waited 10 minutes for my background check then went on my merry way .

Carry License here is only for concealed; open carry is generally guarenteed. Unreal how locked down some states are. I actually can get behind needing to be trained before owning a gun, but states like DC? NY? Come on....

Yeah, it does irritate me a bit. That's why 90% of my stuff is unregistered, legally. It's not easy to do, but it is possible.

It's just gorgeous weather here right now, currently at about 60 and a high of 84 for today! Gonna be a good day, I can feel it!

Make it a great day gentlemen!
