So it begins!

Got my upper receiver, no wait or paperwork on it, only the lower is serialized so it's the registered part and I have a 10 day wait on it.

Since I went with factory blemished parts I found the issues with this, a small nick on the outside but under the finish and there was a bubble in the casting on the upper bolt raceway on the ejection port side. It shouldn't effect function, but I will address it when I install the bolt.

The only flaw I could find on the lower is the stamp is light on one side for the name, serno, etc. That's it. For $190 otd on both I'm not complaining one bit!

Off to work now, make it a great day folks!

Hey guys!

Xander I can tell this is going to be cool! I'm can't wait to see what you do with it!

Busy here with lots... yesterday I worked on 26 kydex sheaths and they are looking good!

I am still in a debacle with Husky over this compressor, on Wednesday I went through everything all over again. (all morninng on the phone going over the whole deal and looking up my parts etc... even though they do have record of everything!) They admit it is under warranty and claim they want to help but just won't.

The parts were going to ship that day they promised! I wait two days for the tracking they promised me (for the third time) ...nothing. So I spent yesterday on the phone again and got approval for overnight parts delivery... but when I call for tracking yesterday afternoon I hear the parts department won't help the warranty department! Finally my local store got tired of it all and supposedly I have a new compressor shipping now. I'll see...

That sounds utterly maddening. Hope you get it sorted out.

Thanks! I need the support right now. :)

It has just been nuts... unbelievable!

The irony is that the broken part probably costs Husky (Home Depot) $5 to make at the most... yet they probably have paid $100 to the people on the phone and now over $500 for the new compressor!

They need to hurry up, I have knives to finish!

Daniel- You hold Husky accountable, ok?!
Don't worry about nothin. Just KeepOn!!
:D

Good morning guys!

Thanks for the kind words... once this compressor is in you guys won;t believe what I have ready to go! I am highly motivated! :D

Yesterday I had another great day in the shop! I have been working on a mirror polished Titanium dagger in bayonet chisel grind and started 6 more friction folders.

Husky needs to back all their work!
Goodgawd!! It's going to 70 degrees today!!!

Afternoon gents. Spring came all at once and I have allergies so bad I feel like I'm 100 meters below the sea. Still can't believe how bad Husky is being about this, to not have readily accessible parts for your users is ridiculous on top of their apparent dysfunctional customer service department. Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.

Hi all. Daniel, maybe you should post your Husky experience on Facebook, if you haven't already. Maybe a more public telling of their behavior will get more action.

That's it Husky is on my sh%# list! Daniel, it sounds like there is going to be a flood of awesome once you get the compressor going!
Rolf, hahahahhaa SWEAT!
Rev, I hop you fel better man.
Liam, Fo shiz! My lady is like a lyrical pitbull with non-accommodating customer service people.
Gooey, email me , I'll send you a pic.

Monday always comes too fast, eh?

Back to it! To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift, my friends.

Make it a good one!

Evan, there will be no gift sacrificin' in the the hood today!
What the heck am I doin' up at this hour?!!!!
Rolf, I'm a grindin' fool. wooop yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Good morning y'all!
Have a radical day duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudes!

That's some pretty unsatisfactory customer service on Huskys end. They understand they're impacting your business I hope.

Finally some beautiful weather. This weekend was outstanding. Today's shaping up to be enjoyable too. Windows wide open on the drive into the office today!

This weekend I experimented with epoxying thin copper to G10. It didn't go as well as I had hoped. I am not happy with the results. Shame :/
