Hi doods!
Me and my Boy brought home a wood turtle and a water snake from our trip to Jones Mt. We'll only keep them for a tad.

Its funny, I work with a few people that complain constantly about being at work. My view is; obviously you're not independently wealthy and you have to be here, so why bitch about it instead of doing your duty and taking on the day with all you've got?
 
I promised not to complain about the heat (after the winter we had), but the AC has been out all week, and it's averaging 88 deg in the house. Makes it hard to get any work done. :/

Anyway - hope you all had a great day.
 
Lol, 88° isn't hot! There are days here when that's as low as the AC will get the house running full blast! But for first of spring it's a tough change!

Try not to melt and ditch the studio hot lights!

Got some light shop work done, and tons of housework done. Looking forward to some sharps this week!
 
Hey guys!

Guess what... I've been busy with the knives! :D

Yesterday I tore my mill down and went over everything... it is working quite nicely! After that I built part of a folder. :D

Today I ground handles, it was more of a rough removal and shaping but I got 12 done. One more day and the handles will be well on the way to looking good. (then hand finishing) Tantos and S7!

I need pics too, the lighting here has not been as good as the grinding so I have been at the KMG. :cool:

You guys have a good one!

Thanks! I'll bring the Ironwood ones up to 800 grit by hand sanding then decide to either sand further, buff or do an oil finish. It depends how the wood looks, sometimes with Ironwood I'll even bring it back down to 400 then oil finish. The micarta and G10 will go to roughly 400 grit before I sandblast for texture. The spine/perimeter will likely go to a high or satin finish on all depending on what I think looks best.

I'm about to grind some more micarta, G10 and Ironwood! lol the combo stench is so unbearable I had to go to my house for a rest :p :D
