Well decided against the whiskey, went with bourbon instead. Had a couple mint julep and a roasted artichoke with lime garlic aioli. Finished the afternoon with some imported prosciutto, fresh focaccia bread, and a caprice salad. Beer and cigar for after dinner.
This is west coast living Evan!

Sounds like a good one to me!
What bourbon and what cigar?
Morning guys! About to go for a drive with the lady, nothing like running through the gears on a cloudless Saturday morning!
Hey Daniel, I was noticing your pics you have been posting here and on facebook. You are shooting against a white piece of paper, correct? Notice how it comes out gray? Shoot in Program mode (P on the mode selector) and ad +0.3 or +0.7 exposure compensation until the background is white. It's the +/- button next to the shutter release on your camera. Press and hold while spinning the rear dial. This should also help the colors really pop on your anno stuff.
Your camera and most all cameras try to make scenes medium gray (18% gray actually) by adjusting bright backgrounds and foregrounds down to even out the scene. This also occurs with snow scenes and sometimes beach scenes.

Thanks Xander, I will try that! I was actually going back and forth between pics and lighting... was baffled! The brighter the light the darker the look with the whte. That makes sense and I can do that. Much appreciated!
Good morning guys!
