I have a Yugoslavian SKS that was an issued rifle that never was opened til I bought it... took a while to get all that crap out/off.. Gun still looks brand new, wood and steel... My Russian SKS has some rust issues... both milled, both complete serials.. both fun to shoot for what they are... BUT THAT GUNK IS ... IS... GUNK!

Sloth those sound awesome! But yeah, I promise I won't send any knives out with gunk on them! lol

I think I decided on the steel for a small round of folders... :D

Well, got some photos mounted for display at a local shop today! They asked me to bring some in to show for beer week when they will have a lot more people coming in, hopefully I can sell some prints!

I went the cheap and simple route, exposed mount on foam core board with a narrow border. Cost me $8 for the board and cutting, for all three. Better than $30+ each for matting and framing!

I think these will show well. The portrait of Greasy Pete was shot on film, scanned and converted to monocrhome, split toned and cropped. The other two are digital prints.

Yeah I saw that he was working on it. I want to shoot him with it if I can.

He is one unique and entirely interesting individual. As good a human as I've ever met, too. These prints will be up at Empresso if you want to check them out.

Nice work! Very nice...

Those will do well I bet! I used to own the craft fair in Durango and good photography can sell very well. Be sure to include a bio if you can. The mountings are nice too!

FBC that pic rocks... talk about a massive car too!

I thought about doing a bio, but it would have to be on like a 3x5 card, this place has nearly zero flat wall space, it's all round and columns, so they are going to be cramped in a tight space. I can always add one, they don't go up until Friday anyways. I've priced these to sell, $65 as printed, other sizes on request.

I'm hoping to get some stuff out there. I really, REALLY, don't want to go the family/wedding photog route. I want to shoot what I want, how I want, when I want. I've got a few clients lined up for some shoots, but I'm having a hard time with MUA and hair for my models. Finding good talent locally has proven difficult.

Of course, maybe being a dude, I just don't have a freakin clue where to find a good makeup artist, lol!

Xander - many higher end salons have people who will do that kind of work, and if they don't have a MUA on staff, may know some. Also worth asking at local stage theaters.

I've got hair styling tips too... :P

Xander that is really cool you are doing that, at our local shows we had about 5-6 photographers and most did well... you pics are better than theirs too!
