Always that balance between hardness and toughness... nothing worse than a high hardness blade chipping. Takes forever to re-profile those suckers.

That stuff looks like it would make a wicked kitchen knife..... Now that I got Jen to stop cutting on the tile counter top.:D

This 10v will hold an edge so long that the average user may never need to sharpen their knife! Kind of cool...

Hey guys! I have been working on design all week and am finally done! :D

Stoked about 10V! Diamond and ceramics only when sharpening that stuff.

Afternoon fellas!

Silicon Carbide will also do the trick from what I understand. I'm going to go very thin so they are as easy to sharpen as possible.

I'm not saying what knives I will be using this steel on but they will either click or clack. :D

Good afternoon!

Hey hey hey!!!

Morning fellas!

I think I need to chop something today. Not sure what, but I think I do! Pirate sword, AAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!

Make it happen!

Fridayyyyyayayayayay!

So tired. Excited for this weekend. Other then getting my truck inspected, I got no real plans. Thank god! Some nice R&R :)

Hey guys!

Go chop some stuff Xander! :D

Good morning Rolf, Farchyld!

No big plans here other than having my ankle heal up and I am going on a mushroom i.d. hike tomorrow. The ankle turned out worse than I thought but it was a good excuse to finalize my CAD... this week reminded me of college with full time on the computer. 13 designs final, cleaned up for bugs/artifacts, checked over like crazy! The mushroom i.d. class should be cool, it will focus on edibles found at high elevation... if you guys remember the collecting spot I found last year the class is actually held right there! Now I can eat some without being scared as I am 95% sure we found lots of great spots last year. Porcini!

I'm happy to hear you finally got in that class. It sounds like one of those very useful things to invest time and money in!

I need to take another course. The last informative class I took was an NRA pistol safety class like a year or so ago! haha.

I have read a few books on mushroom hunting/ identification and I just ended up more scared to do it than before I read the books.:D I seriously thought about getting some spores and growing my own. I really should, I love mushrooms!

I have an irl friend who's a big mushroom guy. He's on some weird forums and always growing weird ones. Not my thing, but glad someone around here gets them!
