Sup foo's?! Today is a catch up day for me. just trying to finish as many things that I have been putting off. I seem to be really good at finishing about 17% of everything. lol.

Did the "spend time with your wife" thing today. Also, started what I hope to be a nice kwaiken. I ran outta BLAZE's tho; gotta get more.

Love me some melonited stainless barrels, so much easier to clean.

Gonna enjoy my Friday in about an hour after I get home from work. It also coincides with "spend time with the wife" thing. I'm thinking I might take her out drunking. She's such a lightweight it isn't just drinking, it's drunking :D But that also makes her a cheap date, lol! Two Washington apple martinis and she can't talk straight, she is a rare and exquisite miniature though....lol.

make it a great evening folks!

Mornin all!

Beautiful weather! Got up early, took the doggy out for a ride. Somethin' about cruisin' around in a truck with your pup, windows down, Metallica blasting. It was refreshing!

Wherever I may roaaaammmmmmmmmm yeahhh!
 
I too was recently exploring the countryside, with dog, with the Black album, at considerable volume. Sometimes on my days off I'll just drive in a particular direction for awhile intentionally not paying any attention to where the hell I am, essentially getting myself lost. Discovered quite a few interesting spots like this. Cheers.
 
I'm declaring winter officially done. We should get near 65 degrees today, and I shaved off my beard. Now to clean the house before my wife gets back from her vacation.

What is this "film" to which you refer? :)
I should find my old SLR, it probably still has a roll in it.

Today its Fuji X-Tra 400 in the F100 and 50/1.8. I thought about loading the Leica but wanted auto focus today for possible candids and fidgety dogs/kids. I really need to CLA my FT and get a roll through it, I miss shooting full manual sometimes. It does have a meter, but batteries are expensive and hard to find for it. I don't like running modern batteries and adjusting because I find it isn't always just a simple half stop across the range.

X - I used to carry a tiny Gossen Digisix light meter in my pocket. Take a couple of test readings for the area (in sun, in shade, dappled, etc.) then just adjust by eye as I shot - without bothering with in-camera meters. Found it to be very quick and intuitive - and over time, with familiar films you end up not bothering with the meter at all. Especially useful on vintage cameras whose meters are off, broken, or were never there.

Most color and bw negative films have enough latitude to ignore a half stop off, especially if you err towards over-exposure. To this day, I'll shoot tri-x without a meter all day long, and unless the lighting conditions are really strange, be pretty confident I got what I wanted.
