liam, where do I get those earbudz.... I need them. NEED.

Yeah, Daniel... where is he, LOL.. baby! You know where he is, slaving to his wife :D Just like he should be.. and making us knives.. He is here for US, totally unselfish :D

meow.

Bobby, sounds like a good time! A FTF is almost always a magazine issue. Haven't popped the cherry on the AR68 yet, been really busy with work and the new boss...plus I shoot mostly on private property so all the stars have to align for me, my dad, and the property owner. Though I may just suck it up and drive to one of the ranges close by. Might even consider stretching it's legs at SacValley shooting center, it's a world class range with lanes out to 1K.

A tip for securing non locking stuff, use hair spray. I've used this on stuff that has rattled loose on bikes and it's just enough to hold it sometimes without worrying of stripping screw heads when removing. Might work on the sights, might not. But at least it won't be a pain to remove if it doesn't!

The gun balances well, it is heavy though, right at 11#! But I shouldn't feel a thing from it :D

Just clocked out for the day! WooHoo! Now to go catch up on that bottle of rum...

Rolf! How ya doin'?

The .223 rounds don't hurt nearly as much as, say, firing a .30-06 or .308. I do want a silencer though. It's a long-term project :P

Mine are Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10 (http://www.cnet.com/products/ultimate-ears-triple-fi-10-gunmetal-blue/), which are universal fit, which I had re-shelled into customs by InEarz (Fischer Hearing) http://www.inearz.com/

If I was buying ones custom from the get go, I'd look at 1964 Ears. The V3 offers the best bang for the buck imo.

If I was going for the ultimate in sound quality, and price was no object, I'd look at JH Audio Roxannes - http://www.jhaudio.com/content/sirens-roxanne

^ lol Good morning!

Been busy... and sick... then busy... then sick some more! I'll have something sharp to post eventually! :D

Rolf I got the Tanto book! Talk about super cool, I really like the section on knife makers.

Daniel- Awsom! That book can go over $100.!!??
I knew you'd like it! And, lotz of Hartsfield stuff in there.

Morning y'all!

It's Tuesday, even the calendar is like WTF after Tuesday... :p

Busy day for me.

Performed some exploratory surgery on the new camera last night, found the battery corrosion had ruined the connection on the negative side and I have to pull the entire focusing mechanism off to get to it to resolder. I may just replace the entire length of wire, who knows how far the creeping corrosion went.

Morning y'all
D, get better...yo
Rolf, ........:saturn:
X, make that shiz go clicky click..
Liam, DANG those are some expensive headphones! don't leave them laying out so Rolf can mistake them for gummy bears and eat 'em up. :D

Or put gummy bears in your ears....

Kev, the nice thing about these Yashica rangefinders is they work without a battery too, you get only 1/500 shutter speed, but if you use iso 400 film you get a decent range of apertures you can use too. So, it's still a good buy if I can't get it working fully.

Busy busy morning, my regular afternoon delivery at work showed up before opening today, then 10 minutes later our morning delivery shows up! I'm having fears of being buried by a pallet falling over....

Anyways, Daniel, feel better dood.

Only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to spendy headphones. :/ How does the old saying go? "When I die, have my wife sell them for what they are worth, not what I told her I paid for them."

How you feeling Daniel? Flu finally letting you alone? Managed not to give it to your family?

Landed a new photo contract - so that's exciting. Going to move quickly, so I already blew most of the deposit on consumables and some necessary kit for the shoot. Hopefully shipping doesn't let me down.

Morning gang!

It's my Friday!!!

Liam, congrats dude! I'd like to see some of your professional work sometime. Buying consumables, does that mean film?! Using the 4x5?

Daniel, get lots of rest and when you begin to feel better, rest some more! Take naps with that baby, nothing feels better than having a little one sleeping on your lap!

Rolf, any new feathered friend sightings come with the weather change out there?

Thanks! This is a documentary project for some historic buildings before they do work on them, so it will be pretty technical (not exciting in that sense). Basically professional urban exploration. :) I'll be using the 4x5 some - but mostly the digitals.

Consumables were film, and archival paper for the 3 final sets of prints they require for the archive, as well as replacement tubes and bulbs for my big strobes and hot lights. And batteries. Lots of batteries. Gaff tape, and clamps. Also a rental on another T/S lens.

Busy morning here so far. Not my friday, unfortunately. Make it a good one!

Brown creeper...I hate when that happens...lol! Winter Wren, that the Carolina Wren? Don't get many of those really pretty birds out here. Lots of finches though! I waiting to see the Northern Flicker again, I might head over to the park where a large colony of Pilated Peckers have made home in some old Oaks and Velvet ash to see if the Northern flicker is hanging out with his cousins. Though they may not like his polkadot and stripped outfit, lol!

Liam, what, no Lens Baby for your T/S work?! Lol, sorry, I just hate those things and know a few people who claim they're just like a T/S.

Lol... yeah, no. Sometimes there really isn't a bargain option. Just like a Fiero might be mid-engine, but it's still never going to replace a Ferrari.
