Mornin' vatos. I was doing some reading( on the net) on Japanese blade shapes and types, it seems that they have a different knife to disassemble each and every kind of sea creature known to man! Cool stuff! I'm going to look for more.
Y'all have a good one!

Sup foo's

Been working on the new camera today, kinda glad I can still solder 32awg wire pretty well! Not much room inside!

Got the shutter working, got power, replaced worn out parts, just one more issue and it's ready to rock! It will take pictures now, but I like them fully working.

Make it great!

I see him! Hi Daniel!

Was just going to say, happy halloween and shiz. Going to get some tires today.. sucks. Tires are expensive.. And I sure as hell don't get 50k miles per set! That is a joke! I should check my mileage, but it has been almost exactly 3yrs since last pair, and I don't put on more than 9k miles a year, usually less...

Hope the weather isn't totally pissing on your guys, it is here.. but should be clear'ish for the kiddos candy walk! YAY spun kids!

SPIDER MIKE! :D

Yo yo yo! Hey guys!

Still sick but I'll be back at full force soon! Feeling functional right now but this is the worst cold I have had in 10+ years... ughh!

Rolf the tanto book is awesome, I'm very glad I have it! The Shiva Ki Dammy integral (smallest knife, page 73) is also a favorite... the simple design is a big influence on my style. And the Hartsfield blades... wow!

Happy Halloween guys!

Glad you are on the mend, Daniel. There have been some nasties floating around.

Happy halloween everyone!

oh yeah, what is Halloween with out the Misfits?

Pumpkins for All!
Daniel- What will you make first? Do you like that bigazz guardless tanto? :D

Well, it's raining good now.

Decided to bring another old camera of mine back into service. Got some batteries, a new lens cap (it has no off switch so the meter is always running if there is light) which was made from a soft vinyl cap for a tube. It's a handy little camera, actually fits in my pocket. Also got a book I ordered and paid for back in February! So, all in all got plenty of things to do on a rainy day.

Hope all are making it great!

Halloween What kind of day is that? I only know " dia de todos os santos " or " samain ". It is the day when all the dead of the family is remembered.
In Ireland it is the day of Samhain. Things of my Celtic ancestors.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN DAY TO ALL AND HAVE A GOOD DAY..

Halloween is similar to those, but following more of the Samhain or Pagan traditions, though there is quite a bit of Dia De Los Muerto influence as well, especially here in California and other states bordering Mexico.

As usual it is highly commercial these days, hardly any tradition left in it, but it's roots are still there.

Hey DFK fans. Xander, a few days ago you asked if I had been making anything interesting. Well I guess that depends on what you call interesting, :) . I'm working for a company that makes Beryllium Copper. They have a small machine shop. We do rough machining for some costumers. We also do some finished parts. Also finish cast tools made from Beryllium Copper (wrenches, chisels, etc). The alloy is used because of its hardness and non-sparking properties.

very cool!

I know a bit about Beryllium as I had very rare access to a big load of ultra rare gem grade Beryllium ore... Tiffany Stone. Cool stuff and worth a lot...

Good to hear!

Do you guys have to finish it in a vent hood or anything like that? It is cool stuff! They made a few Striders with the material for blades.
