Hey, I did my part for OD Canvas. :thumbsup: But it looks like a runaway for natural canvas (boring!).

Thanks, Charlie et al. I will buy one or two, depending on handle. Just hope it is canvas, not linen.
 
Looking forward to the preorder prospects. I do not make it on the forums every single day so the chance that I might miss out due to not getting the notifications for when they become available is more than a little disconcerting. But then again, it is but a knife, and most certainly not the end of the world should I miss out. It has been fun being a part of the process though, albeit a minor part. A thousand thanks to waynorth waynorth and @gunstockjack and whoever else I might of missed for all their efforts and longsuffering.

I may have gotten some flack for contributing to undue alarmism over how fast last year's knife would sell out, but I feel like with 500 being offered, we should have a good chance to get our orders in without too much trouble.
 
Glad to see the poll is up! I'm very much looking forward to this years forum knife whatever the covers end up being. But I did vote for Natural Canvas... and so far it's pulling ahead by a wide margin :) Hopefully the 500 count does last long enough for eveyeone who wants one to get one.
 
It was a tough one, but I chose texture over color. Went with the natural canvas. Was tempted to vote for red linen, but felt that the linen is too refined for a barlow.
 
I was excited when I saw the knife...but have to sit this one out due to the handle selections (I stick to natural materials on trads).
I'd still like to take a moment to thank everyone involved for making another forum knife happen!

If it makes any difference, canvas is made up of mostly cotton or hemp with some epoxy as a binder. If we compare this to stabilized bone or wood, it is a natural material with a polymer (epoxy or cyanoacrylate) filling in any air spaces in the material. Either way: natural material with a polymer for durability/longevity!
 
Wow. Natural is not just leading, it is getting more votes than everything else combined. No need for a runoff here!
 
My vote is in, looking forward to purchasing one no matter what cover wins the vote.
