Quick poll: has anyone participating in this thread been swayed to the other side of the argument by a point made by someone on the opposite side?
Discuss.
Can anyone who actually uses CRK fixed blades give their input instead of garrulous bystanders?
also with my $800 busse.![]()
Peanut butter for the win!
We are allowed to talk about sandwiches when everything else has already been discussed, right?
One of my favorite sandwiches is peanut butter with thinly sliced Vidalia onions. Yum![]()
A Poll?
Which is worse the Busse braggart chanting or the Chris Reeves mystic chanting?
In my opinion they are both way over priced and are functionally equalled for my use by other knives 1/20 the price.
Why did I have to look at this thread yet again???
I would never bump it up, but since its near the top I'll reply.
To sylietoy, so you say you can get a equal knife for 1/20
My last Busse boughty at Blade 09 cost me $283.00 total for a 6" bladed HG-55 in satin with black paper scales.
Please post a pic of a of a $14.15 knife that you think is as good as a Busse or CRK![]()
Oh come on, I will give him a chance. LOL
Last Busse I bought (On order) was my 6" Tank Buster with a lot of options (Urban Camo, Magnum G10 Scales) that cost me $387 so he would have to post a picture of a $19.35 knife that is as good or better than a Busse.
That would be 1/20th of the cost. $387/20= $19.35 ROFL
I won't hold my breath on that one.
Maybe Wal-Mart has one, I dunno. LOL
Yes even less, like the Cheaper Than Dirt Rough Use Knife which will do any common knife chore just as well "for Me" You buy Busse and chant because "you want" to not because you need to.
Look in the mirror while you chant Busse Busse Busse, because it ain't working on me ; )
For like $10 it's not a bad blade at all really, it survived most of the tests on Knife Tests.com, more than a lot of them did including the Thread Title blades.
You would have to buy a sheath for it though and sharpen it before using it, but what do you expect for $10.
Can't compare cheap knives and expensive ones. Even if you find decent cheap Chinese knives. PPL just buy the expensive ones because they CAN. They don't care about co$t. A probally would recoup most of the $$ back in resale. Just another hobby. Who needs 15+ knives really??
I believe at the cost of a Busse or Chris Reeve knife you could spend money much wiser and get a custom knife. I noticed several new custom knife makers in Pennsylvania that sell forged knives for less which are handmade one of a kind. What if you purchased some of Bill Moran's early knives, then you would have something truly collectible and of value?

Yeah but then you would need to put up with all "My custom knife chantting"I believe at the cost of a Busse or Chris Reeve knife you could spend money much wiser and get a custom knife. When is that special INFI gonna make it to the cutting competitions? I think a few of us is waiting for it to become a winner in bladesports.... Anyways, the Chinese have a whole page dedicated to Chris Reeve fakes and others... Just do a little research an protect yourself, you never know who will try to resale stuff like that.
