I purchased my first buck titanium 560 on eBay a month ago. I’ve wanted one since I was a kid. I open the knife to find the blade pin is loose. I could push it out with my finger.

I return it to buck. Sylvia at warranty promised me to fix it or replace it from the archives. I get it back on the 23rd and decided to open Christmas Day.
I can’t be more disappointed

They pretty much lied to me. I can’t have anything nice without it being messed up. Who can repair what they don’t have the ability to repair?????

That's a shame.Someone at Buck missed this during their Christmas rush.

There will be someone along very shortly to give you help.

Christmas rush. That’s the problem.
I could eat ramen noodles for the next year and have enough to buy another. How do I know that buck knife wasn’t some Christmas rush job??? I dont have enough faith to buy another.

I do have enough faith to buy a benchmade. Everyone at work loves theirs. I would buy a benchamde but I’m out 200$ on this POS buck

I’m going to call them when they open this morning but I suspect the staff got off for 2-3 weeks and I would rather have a professional knife maker work on it anyways.

It’s just a rivet right?????

The world doesn't revolve around you, princess; taking it so personally only hurts you. I've never heard a single person complain about Buck's warranty, so no one is going to suddenly boycott a great company over this.
Call them like a civilized person, be kind to the person picking up your call, understand that they are just trying to feed their family, and don't behave like a child on take-two with the warranty department.

Why don't you just wait until you hear back from Buck? Slinging these backhanded insults towards them is not going to put you in favor with them or the folks here on the Buck forum. I can understand your frustration on receiving a defective knife, but why didn't you return it to who you bought if from on the bay?

Silvia at buck insisted I sent it back to them. I had a promise from her it would get fixed . She knew it was from eBay.
I explained that it was my one chance to return it

If it were me, I would have just returned it to who I bought it from in the first place. The bay sides with the buyer, problem resolved. The off-handed comments are really unnecessary. Catch more bees with honey than vinegar kinda thing...

You pictures aren't showing up so I can't judge that but I will assume there is something wrong. It is a shame they didn't fix what was specifically asked for and Christmas rush is a bull shttt excuse. If I wanted this knife and it was no longer in production, I wouldn't have sent it back either if manufacturer said they would fix it.
Call them and ship it back, have seen in these situations (which shouldn't exist) they have paid for the shipping both ways.

HOWEVER! You continue thru life with that kind of attitude of "can't have anything nice without it being messed up" That is exactly how your life will be!!!

I would be patient and get ahold of Buck and see what can be done to resolve the problem or
find out why the problem was not fixed.

Please post a picture of the face of the knife.

A similar picture of one of my black 560's.

The head on the rivet is rounded.

Just so you know that knife hasn't been produced in years. If the rivet came out, then someone has had it apart. Possibly voided the warranty in doing so. It seems like an easy fix. More pictures would be nice.
