Christmas full of dissapointment

At times, someone is unhappy with a Buck knife and visits the Buck Forum to vent their emotions. The Buck forum folks generally let someone complain and offer opinions on what is happening and what should be done. When someone is not happy and they call the Buck forums knives names, it will generally stir up a hornets nest. This is general advice to all viewers, vent then discuss rationally. Offence or defense should be equal to the example of what Chuck Buck stood for.
In this case the 'I want immediate action' is coming at a odd time with the Holidays. Bucks warranty department is only a couple of guys and folks in the warranty may be doing double duty with employees taking Holidays leave.
Jhud will receive help and they will do the best they can but everyone must give it it's due course of time. This is a discontinued knife and someone with experience will need to see how they can fix it. I think Mr. Jeff Hubbard, chief of the warranty department would be glad to talk to anyone with knife issues, as I said it is the holidays and he has a new grandchild. Otherwise all I can say is , no one likes a fouled up Ebay knife. It will be work toward getting it fixed as situation allows or as you say "get rid of it". I am sure one of the Buck forum members will take it off your hands for the proper discount in the Buck sales area.

Cut that out calling me fishy

Honestly, you've earned it. You have come on here and posted not one, but two threads, obviously expressing frustration but not answering questions and backing up your frustration with very few facts. There is most definitely something fishy here. Especially because you're not answering the basic question of why you didn't ask for a refund.

If you take a calm and logical approach you tend to get more accomplished and manage to have much more credibility. I suspect that if you stop getting defensive, calm yourself down, and act rationally this situation will work out better for you.

The seller lives near post falls and offered to take it back to buck or give me a refund. I had already been on the phone with buck who insisted I sent it back to then and it would be replaced or fixed.
This knife I remember looking at years ago. I’ve wanted one a long time.
The black one. With a new edge. Not lightly used.

It seemed to me an easy fix.
I’ve considered doing it myself and sending it to others but don’t want to mess up or someone else too. How do you?? I don’t know

That’s where I am

Kinda seems like the problem of the pin wasnt looked at. The problem listed shows blade play instead of bad pin. It could be the initial repair was missed and the blade play issue took over. My Guess.

It sounds like you have several solutions in front of you, select one and go with it...All you have done is complain...As far as Danny coming to the phone just to talk to you? I have worked at places that don't allow phone calls unless it's an emergency and second he's probably too busy to argue with you on the phone because with your attitude that's what it'll be, a big argument and then he's mad having to go work on someones else's knife. Hopefully, it won't be mine...

I think you kept sending it in for blade play and it came back so tight you couldn't get it to work the way you wanted so you tried to fix it yourself and now your trashing Buck over it...

J Jhud , I'll purchase it from you and pay the shipping for what you paid and you'll be done with it. DM
David. How do I contact you?
I could buy another been looking today. But what are you going to do with it. It’s not usable with the front pin like this.

I really like the bottom pocket clip model. Did those come with a sheath too?
Thats my favorite as well. I wanted one for years and contrary to the OP, I was/am happy with mine, when I finally managed to find one. The knife is in excellent condtion.
Its the first model, then later came the riveted model, which could not readily be taken apart and put together again.

He's probably going to send it into Buck to have it repaired...

Did the seller let you know the rivet was bad to begin with? If not i would reflect that in the feedback. Thats not right if the problem wasnt revealed.
