Whats the handle material...?

That is a rare set of African Leadwood scales that I have been saving for a special knife,

...The Bay de Noc is that.

The photo does not do them justice.

Here's a couple from me. The first one was taken at the top of Mt. Zao in Yamagata, Japan. Those big snow piles are trees that have been frozen over. The Japanese call them Juhyo or "Snowmonsters". The pic isn't too great because of the snowstorm.

This one was taken on the same day. It's of a frozen waterfall in south Miyagi, Japan.

Thanks! When I was dragging chopped up pieces of blow-down up near the back deck I noticed that little guy sticking up out of the corner. It'll have to get screwed down once things melt up!

Thank you! Here's a picture I took a couple of winters ago.

And a few others

My little sister in my vintage air force parka. She had come along with me on a photo excursion and got very cold in what she was already wearing. I game her the vest I had in the car and my coat and froze myself but ladies first!

Ice on the side of a moss-covered boulder on one of my favorite (and obscure) trails in Acadia National Park.

A fresh rabbit I found on the same trail. I must have scared off whatever had killed it because after I passed it on the way back it was much more...gruesome. I was truly honored to have been given the chance to see the true face of mother nature.

A cemetery that was near a place I used to live. No dumping what? :D
In all seriousness there was a junkyard way back behind the graveyard if you followed the road further, but from where the sign was you couldn't tell at all. ;)

We had some snow then some rain but I think the change in the weather made my snowman sick and gave him "The Runs".

The contest ends tonight at 8 PM CST. If nobody hears about the winner by tomorrow, it means we have lost power here, a real bad storm is predicted for us later today!

Stomper - I have a problem - This picture IS of my winter pics. I am sorry no white stuff - but Houston is not known for it's snow. :(
