Christmas knives

From the top~
Cold Steel Trench Hawk
Tora MKII Kukri
SOG Seal Pup
Kershaw Clash Serrated

I got a Kershaw Camp 10 from the girlfriend, a Spyderco 4-piece file set from her parents, and bought myself an orange Endura and an Old Timer 123OT, which is a replacement for the very first knife I ever bought, which was way back in 1976. No idea where my original is so I finally replaced it.

My sweet wife watched which knifes I have been looking at and picked one up for me.
She asked them to take it out of the box so she could check the consistency of the bevel height, the lockup, & the blade centering.
What a great Christmas.

My Fiance' got my an Olive Blur, got rid of mine earlier this year and hated myself for it since, Also got me a Fenix PD35 with rechargeable batteries, this light is 850 lumens of awesomeness

Finally got to open my Christmas knife...has been sitting in a box here since early October...A ZT 566 serial number 96:) Awsome knife!!

To add what I got from my mom to the list I got from my dad/stepmom and my sister earlier, I also acquired a Cold Steel Hide Out, a Cold Steel Canadian Belt Knife, a Cold Steel 12'' Sax Machete, and an Opinel #7 stainless with green handles.

I gave 16 knives over the season. Seven SAKs, a Case trapper, Case peanut, a Case Sodbuster, an AG Russell Woods Walker, a USN Mk3 Mod 0, a Camillus muskrat, a Camillus senator, a Camillus military knife (demo knife), and a Sheffield pipe knife.

Sent my wife a list of knives I was interested in as "ideas". Figured she might have one under the tree....I was wrong.

Speechless and feeling more than a little glutinous. I think there may be some here who can appreciate and understand.

You have a very generous wife!

how do like the Hogue EX-04? Im wanting that as my next knife!

I didn't get a knife this year, but I did give two as gifts. I bought my niece a red Super Tinker; it's her first SAK and since she's staying with us now I couldn't have someone in the house who didn't own any knives. My daughter got a black Izula. She took a liking to mine over the summer, so I thought this might be a good fixed blade. She's already wrapped it in purple and green paracord.

Got a P2 from Knifeworks & a small Classic Sebbie on the exchange. Happy with small folder herd for now....

Had a wonderful Christmas this year. Gave a few knives, received a few knives and a cook book amongst other things. I hope everyone has a great New Year and a safe and prosperous 2014!

My Christmas was great as far as blades go. I got a ZDP Dragonfly from my girlfriend, a Domino in a trade and won a giveaway for a Strider SNG. Overall, I'm pretty happy. Oh hell, who am I kidding? I'm freaking stoked!

Yes, she's very generous.

The Hogue EX-04 is quite the beast. It's a handful no doubt. I haven't put it to work yet, but I have no doubt it will perform exemplary. The button lock feels very sturdy - has a safety to avoid accidental disengagement. I don't own another hard use button lock knife - so it's very different from anything else I own. It's a very distinct looking knife which drew me to it. I imagine it looks ugly to some, but to me it's a thing of beauty.

Well, I'm fortunate in that my family accepts me for all my (as perceived from their end) faults. They may not understand my sharp object fetish, but they know what makes me happy. Sharp, pointy objects. They just usually don't know what to get me.

This year, I actually put out a list of said items. I also provided URLs to several online knife dealers, part numbers of said items for each website and a prioritized list of what I wanted.

I also noted on the list that I had 3 drawers each of underwear and t-shirts (with 2 or 3 unopened packages of each on a shelf in my closet), 2 drawers of socks and 2 closet rods full of dress shirts and pants and blue jeans and 14 ties that I don't wear (I shifted to bolo ties years ago and SELDOM (almost never) wear the regular ties anymore. Must have worked, since I got the stash -

1x - BK-2, BK-11, BK-16, Kabar Ka-Barley, 2x - Kabar Lake Effect Ice Scrappers
