What aspects do you like best about these Fox gunstocks?I appreciate the kind words. These just rolled in last night, but I was immediately tickled with them. Every maker and every pattern has its plus/minus. If we all liked exactly the same thing it would be very boring around here.
They did an outstanding job on fitment. Especially for components that are finished completely before final assembly. What aspects do you like best about these Fox gunstocks?
How do the final products compare to the prototypes when you order from these Italian companies? Are they pretty similar, or does it just depend on what tweaks you ask them to make? They did an outstanding job on fitment. Especially for components that are finished completely before final assembly.

No, and I couldn't afford them if they said they were ready - so I am being VERY patient..... But they did tell me soon after June last time we discussed them. But they are in a much more restrictive situation than we are currently due to china virus.
Mike, I made a commitment to purchase one and I followed through with it. I’ve bought a fair number of knives from you and have always been pleased with the customer service from CK. Unfortunately, this will be my last. Xenophobic rhetoric should not be used here or for that matter anywhere.
Mike, in your video you mention that you had these made with a variable resistance pull that is lighter from closed to half stop and then a little stronger from half stop to open. Did that feature turn out like you wanted it to on the finished knives?Typically you can't tell one from the other unless you asked for major changes. Most times the prototypes are hand ground, so if you look close enough you can see small imperfections.

Cool.Yes. Right out of the box you can tell they don't have the spring pressure closing that they do opening. But I think it will get more pronounced as they break in and offer an outstanding action after some fidgeting. When a knife has an adjustable pivot I don't really expect the factory to perfectly tune each one - but every one of these I have handled has been really nice.
That's the one I bought as well. It just looks so cool I couldn't pass it up lol.The Carbon Fiber is interesting. I've been shedding my collection/accumulation lately but might have a go at this one.
Where can I find the videos for the Recoil?Mike, in your video you mention that you had these made with a variable resistance pull that is lighter from closed to half stop and then a little stronger from half stop to open. Did that feature turn out like you wanted it to on the finished knives?
Mike's video is still on the Early Reserve page for the Recoil. There's also one on YouTube.Where can I find the videos for the Recoil?
Thanks, I was searching for "Recoil" instead of "Gunstock".Mike's video is still on the Early Reserve page for the Recoil. There's also one on YouTube.
