Shandy?!? Not beer. Says so, right on the label. Don't know what it tastes like; not judging, either.....but definitely NOT beer. I don't really care what folks enjoy, that's what makes the world go 'round. But if you pour Bud Select 55 in my glass and try and pass it off as beer, well....I'll politely try not to vomit on your carpet. Luckily I don't have a temperament like Jack Kerouac, or I'd burn your house down.

Uhhh....no. You should get your taste buds examined by a medical professional. :D

Agreed!!

Happy Veterans day to all my vets out there!

Remember, We drink beers in November and shed tears in May. Today we play, Memorial day we pray.

Let me be the second to wish all my fellow vets (even those that were in the Air Force) a happy Veterans' Day!

Dammit man... Locally, I could buy seven 10/22 mags, butler creek and ruger brands, and over 650 22lr rounds, blazer, for 100 bucks...

Worth it to me just for the mags... But i don't exactly have the 100 to spare so i must avoid it like the plague before i get myself in trouble.

Too early for beer yet?

Well, here in Belgium there's this drawing of the horse of the Palm beer logo, that obviously drinks Palm beer (a nice, amber colored beer) and it simultaneously pees in a beer keg with the Heineken label on it. Pretty accurate.

Edit: Just Google image search: "palm heineken paard"
Since this is a family friendly forum :D

we have a similar picture of the budweiser clydesdale filling a "coors bucket"

From Google and it is not p%$$ beer either.
Leinenkugel's® Summer Shandy® is our traditional weiss beer with refreshing natural lemonade flavor that makes it the perfect summer beer. In 2012, Summer Shandy won a Silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival® in the Fruit Wheat Beer category. 4.2%

BTW - Happy Veterans Day and to all who severed, Thank You For Your Service.

Yes, but I'm a total beer snob - but not a serious one. It's hard to convey sarcasm over the HTML medium sometimes. Summer beer for me would be exactly like winter/fall/spring beer for me......about the "lowest" I go is Founder's All Day IPA - unless someone else is buying. I meant no disrespect. Everyone has their own tastes - which reminds me - I really need to ressurrect the foo-foo bitter beer thread someone else started. Tonight it's SNBC Celebration....
....it just occurred to me that no matter how much I love beer, it never loves me back - which is OK, I reckon, 'cause it also doesn't judge me. Thanks to all you vets -

for securing our freedom to drink whatever beverages, alcoholic or not, we choose.

Seriously though, a thousand thanks to those of you who have served. My dad's a vet (army during the end of Korea) - and every year I have a deeper appreciation of what that means to me and how it shaped him into who he is today. 84 years old and still kicking.

Tonight will be Lagunita's 12th of Never.

Weekend project:

Turning my dad's old axe into a backpacking axe. Cut the head weight down from 1kg/2.25lbs to about .75kg/1.6lbs. Now to find a handle to mount it on...

that was a $200 axe :>

now it's a $300 axe? :)

i have a bunch of swiss fire surplus axes that look like your final product

Haha, no, for some reason, these old Hults Bruks axes are a dime a dozen around here. They used to sell them for cheap as borscht at the hardware stores in the 70's and 80's. That's my 3rd 2.5lb. head, same pattern, I've gotten in the last couple of years. Wanted to do something different with it. Head was wobbly and the handle was damaged, so figured I might as well go crazy with it.

Just looked up the Swiss surplus axes; yeah they look quite similar. Was going for a Hudson's Bay look for mine.

Thanks Dubz!

I'm not saying i woke up hungover... But, i am saying i woke up on the floor debating if i should stand up or just drink out of the dogs water bowl.

Haha! I had a massive hangover a few months back. Fell asleep on the front porch of the cabin, woke up around 4am, somehow made it up in the loft to bed, woke up thinking, damn, I don't feel too bad, until I sat up, haha. Went down the ladder, put my boots on, ran outside puking my guts out. Yuuuumy. Must have been quite the scene outside in my underwear and boots throwing up.
