Grab a seat folks this is going to be a good one:

While playing in the basement with the kids (they were having a dance party), somebody turned on the treadmill without my knowledge. with the music being loud i did not even hear it on. that somebody set it to 10mph.......i notice the treadmill's display still lit up so i go over to turn it off. thinking its not on i go to step on it and have my feet taken out from under me. i use everything i have to get me up as to not land on the moving belt, that i pulled myself almost 1 handed up onto the safety rails. tore my chest muscle and partial ligament, full or partial bicep tendon tare lol. Worse pain of my life have to go see my orthopaedic surgen. pain pills aplenty, today is going to suck!!

worst part i just started to get back into it with a mission bah not a happy person.

from the fitness thread, typing one handed sucks haha

Good gawd. Heal up,

Holy key-wrap that's one hell of a dance party TBL! Hope you get fixed up sooner than later; in the meantime enjoy those meds!

Well, 7 years after I started and 5 years of taking classes I took the final today of my last class needed to get my AS degree. Now I have no idea what to do with my free time.

I spent six years of nights chasing mine, but, I don't feel no different.

Full detachment of a bicep tendon, partial detachment of a pectoral tendon....this isnt fun 😞
Praying for you!

I just got back from the chiropractor, my spine registered on local Richter scales when it popped tonight, I am sure. ><
Better, inch at a time, still numb and limp in my left hand. This needs to end. :o

Does anyone know of a website that can help me plan a roadtrip based on weather conditions? Or does anyone know off the top of their head what I70 through Kansas is supposed to be like through Monday? I got my little 2wd chevy S10 aligned today and I'm going to try to get snow tires tomorrow and haul ass to Kansas City and come back on the 19th. From what I can gather there seems to be a small chance of ice and snow through Kansas but short of looking up a forecast for every single town along the way I'm not very sure.

Thanks Gents.

id totally love to see my chiropractor right now too lol!

Well, while we're doing a "health status" thread for a while, here's a little tale compressed down from a 4 week time-frame.

First, my blood pressure went koo-koo for a couple of days. Doctor upped my BP pills from 10mg to 20mg. Then he asked when I had had my last EKG (electrocardiogram). I told him that the last time I had one was the one he ordered back in 2003 during the colon cancer discovery saga.

So, the new EKG "looked different" from the one they took back in 2003. Duh!!! Go figure - 13 more years of wear, plus the old "let's try to kill him with chemo" (the equivalent of 5 rounds of chemo in 1 round).

My doctor then sends me to a cardiologist, who ordered, among other things, an echo-cardiogram, which found a small hole in my heart between the L/R atria. An EchoCardioGram consists of intravenously pumping air into a vein while performing a sonogram on the heart. You know, the thing that all the movies and TV shows use for people to kill people with - the syringe of air in a vein.

Apparently, I am one of the 15% that the natural hole that exists while in the womb never completely closes up like it's supposed to do.

So I ask the doc (a woman in her 30s who probably has never had to do any manual labor)::

Can I still dig up septic lines? Yes
Can I still put in fence posts? Yes
Can I still haul hay from the field? Yes
Can I still ............
..

Well, basically the answer was going to be "Yes" to everything. She just wasn't picking up that I was looking for a few "NOs" here. :D

Finally, I asked her

Is there anything I'm NOT supposed to do?

Yes. Don't take up SCUBA diving.

I'm not supposed to go SCUBA diving?

No.

So I guess I wasn't supposed to do those 6000+ logged dives that I've done in the last 42 years of being a certified SCUBA diver?

Uh, No. You could die.

Well, No Shit. You mean, if I quit SCUBA diving, I won't die?

The look on her face was priceless.

You know what? Some doctors don't have a very good sense of humor. :D:D

But now I get to sell all my SCUBA gear. :(

I'm going to try and get some new tires first thing in the morning so hopefully I'll be leaving Pueblo by noon, maybe sooner if I'm lucky. I should probably just fly but whatever.

Thanks.

Alright so if they find a small crappy pickup in a snow bank in March full of guns and a frozen fat guy, ya'll know who to thank. And the rest of you will have to step up the trash-talking to make up for my absence.

Wait lines to see specialist are just really long.

The story was my next post after the picture [emoji2]

Got a call from the hospital to go in this morning, and my work got back to me with all my Short Term Disability paperwork👍 thanks for the prayers guys! I'll get my imaging and assessments done, maybe even a surgery date.

Getting snow tires and I should be all set. Except the speakers in my truck don't work. I'm gonna make my buddy fix that when I get to KC. I sprung for studs but I don't have anywhere to store snow tires so come spring I'm going to have to have the studs pulled so I can run them all year.

Thanks for the wellwishes, WW, byt if it hasn't fixed itself in 62 years, that little hole is gonna stay there til I die.

Now whether or not it has any influence on when and how I go, well, we'll just have to wait a while for that final verdict. :D
