I have a 5lb michigan head waiting for a handle that I am pretty sure would do handily for splitting, I'm sure there are plenty more like it for cheap out there if you want a wood handle.

Getting snow tires and I should be all set. Except the speakers in my truck don't work. I'm gonna make my buddy fix that when I get to KC. I sprung for studs but I don't have anywhere to store snow tires so come spring I'm going to have to have the studs pulled so I can run them all year.

studs are probably overkill this weekend.
if you got on the road around noon, you should be passing Salina soon - I'm about 100 miles East and 15 miles North of that.

Ax... Axe...Axes... For splitting...

36" Fiskars X27.... OR.... WHAT?

the husky stuff is really nice if you like tradition...

ideally, get a 2 to 8 lb specialty splitting axe selection :D

it's 6.8 dF here and i've been watching the temp drop about 0.1 dF every minute or so. fast.

We're at about day 12 of this damn cold snap. Getting old FAST.

They were giving comparisons on the radio which made me laugh. Had to look it up.

Temps as of right now:
Edmonton: -25C/-29C wind chill (that's -13F/-20F WC)

McMurdo Station, Antarctic: -4C/-11 WC or 25F/12F WC

Like I said, getting old…

sweeeet

2.5 now, expect colder...

beats the -50 thing we had some years ago for a week

Made it to KC without issue and the proceeded to get royally trashed on some really strong beer with the help of a very empty stomach. Founders Lizard of Koz is so delicious, taste like chocolate and blueberries and is 10.5%. Y'all need to try that stuff. Then I shoveled a bunch of McDonald's down and my stomach is making some odd gurgly noises.

Welcome to Missouri,

Anyone else having trouble getting BBC code of Flickr to work to post images? My photostream will pull up but it will not show any images in camera roll where I can select an image and copy the BBC code.

Hossism of the day: Never chase good beer with cheap food.

Thankfully most of the good breweries with tasting rooms in the area also manage to serve fantastic food too. Cost is the only issue...

Nice. You should put out a calendar of Hossisms. Or toilet paper.

Waste of good toilet paper.

Fantastic. There's also room in life for cheap beer paired with cheap food.

There is but I don't hate myself that much.

Yeah but the place we went, the kitchen had closed for the night.

Murph, I saw your name on the wall of a bathroom stall at a service plaza on the Mass Pike! Why didn't you tell me you were coming through??

I have the manual for those. I'll bring it over sometime.

Wait lines to see specialist are just really long.

The story was my next post after the picture [emoji2]

Got a call from the hospital to go in this morning, and my work got back to me with all my Short Term Disability paperwork👍 thanks for the prayers guys! I'll get my imaging and assessments done, maybe even a surgery date.

The only time when having STD is a really, really good thing. If it makes any diff, I pay thru the nostrils for healthcare and when I tore my hamstring and got ambulanced to the hospital, they said: "you have a pulled muscle" and sent me on my way. Had to ask for crutches, and got no drugs - 'course, if I needed to pass out, all I had to do was try and stand up. By the time I got an appt. with the ortho doc, the back of my left leg was black from me cheek to my knee. Manoman, I feel for you, Tim.

Founder's beers are consistently at the top of my fave list - have some Centennial IPA in the "fridge" (the garage for the rest of the winter) right now, but have not ever seen the Lizard of Koz. I will have to find some. Dark Penance, Devil Dancer, Dirty Bastard, Backwoods Bastard, Breakfast Stout - they know how to make well balanced, extremely tasty brews......that hit like a hammer. Their <7% beers are pretty good, too.

Good beer should always be chased with more good beer. I would have thought you knew that.

I use Camera Roll because I find it easier to look for the photo I want, but when you click on it it just shows a large image - you have to click the "View on photo page" at the bottom right to get to the "share" option and the BBC code. Bonus is, it opens in a separate tab, leaving your camera roll search right where you left it. Pics! or it didn't happen.....
