Deals are not found on ebay .... the deals are here and you have to be quick .... have a list of knives you want and don't get soar over one lost deal there plenty others! Thank you

@ estate4life:
I feel that members here on BladeForums, have the right to weigh the facts, & decide for themselves, that you use BladeForums primarily to purchase knives, & then flip them for profit on Ebay under the Ebay profile: "blade4sell". I have spoken with 2other BF members, who are also aware of your practices.
Personally, I should be thanking you, for saving me a lot of money on potential BF purchases, but I have hard time seeing you, time, & time again list knifes that you purchased on BF, only to list them on Ebay (at either auction or buy it now), literally days later & reap the big profits.
If estate4life is doing this as a business enterprise, that is his prerogative; I just happen to personally feel, that this prevents (a lot members here), the ability to find a nice knife on BF & get a great deal at the same time.
Here is a list of estate4life presently has on Ebay. I suggest that you also click on his feedback & look at the number of other knives, that were once owned by BladeForum members:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/blade4sell/...me=STRK:MEWNX:IT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

estate4life: You can twist this however you wish; I am not in your words "SOUR", but just a BF member, who feels that you should find another place to purchase your knives, to flip for profit.
Or maybe, you should consider changing your BF name, from estate4life, to "FLIPPER."
Good luck!

LOL @ Estate4life for acting innocent.

He snaps up all the good deals on here and flips them in his ebay store. He knows what he's doing. He's done it to me.

The other week he did it with 2 PM2 sprints and a Persian. Cross-reference his past ebay & BF feedbacks and you will see a whole lot of the same knife being bought on 1 site and quickly sold on the other.

The manix 2 he has for sale right now on here for $155, he bought last week on ebay for $120

I'm not saying he's breaking any rules... I'm just saying he does a whole lot of "flipping" and has a whole lot of ebay feedback (from selling knives almost exclusively) for someone who claims to not be a dealer.

@716axis:
I agree with you, & apologize for using your post to make a point. In retrospect, I probably should have handled this between estate4life & myself, via PM.
I'm not going to waste your time, regarding a personal issue, that I feel is long overdue in addressing.
I do have a problem, with the fact that ONE person is monopolizing so many great deals here on BF, only to immediately flip these very same knives, for profit, on Ebay...& THAT IS EXACTLY what estate4life has been doing for a very long time now!
This is NOT what BladeForums is intended for...or at least I don't think it is.

I for one appreciate this kind of info. On bad sellers - and bad buyers.

Dang that Persian is up to $172 with over 40 bids!!! He only paid $70 for that thing.

Also I apologize for blowing up the for sale thread. It was not the appropriate place.

Nobody is going to get rich buying on BF and selling on EBAY, let him play his games... I've seen bad news come up before on estate4life and personally don't trust him.

Also, anyone can buy on BF and resell... All complaining could be doing this if they wanted to waste the time with it... for 20-100 per knife! WOW he'll retire in no time...

Yeah, it sucks. Oh well, don't sell your knife for $70 if you want more for it.. RAISE YOUR PRICES.. Nobody has to buy or sell... game on!

So should he pony up and go green then? From exchange rules..

DEALER / MATERIALS PROVIDER - Dealers are defined as anyone who purchases at wholesale pricing, or purchases items with the intent to resell (flipping). Other terms for dealers include purveyor, broker, reseller, etc. Materials Providers offer raw materials such as steel, handle materials, or other items related to knifemaking in general as typical stock for sale to the forum members or to the general public via their own store front or website.

Threads about the individual have been made before. He claims to have a collection of over 300+ knives last time i spoke with him, but i think they are just business inventory. The decision on whether he requires a dealer membership lies with the mods, and like the previous threads about estate4life, i don't expect him to be asked to up his membership.

Hey guys, this is the USA. Freedom! and all that. The worst I can see is probably he should seriously consider a Dealer Membership. He has every right to buy as many as he can here, as fast as he can here, at the best price he can get here, and then sell WHENEVER he likes, for as much as he likes, wherever he likes. Once again this is a free country (for now). Those of you who have a problem with that should (A) not sell to him (B) check the for sale threads more quickly and regularly and take quick action. He has no particular advantage over any of you as far as buying on this site goes, and making a profit is not a crime, in fact it's pretty satisfying.

Disappointment is a bitter pill.

He does have a couple of other personality traits I find mildly annoying.;)

Best Regards,

Paul

dealers, pertains to this site.. so IF you buy low here and flip and sell here.. that is a nono... but if you buy low here and sell elsewhere... that is ok..

JUST BE SMART WHEN SELLING/BUYING...

Lol...you guys are funny...I buy...if me no like! I list at no reserve $1 starting bid....when I make couple bucks...whine and cheese...how about when you lose money. No one talks about it. I purchase the Salsa from Phil, didn't like it, list it, lost $10....no problem. I buy again PE. Devil already warn me what to do and what not.

depends...but many of us have a buying problem. But if selling for a profit is so easy on eBay....you and I know it's not....almost 1 out of 5 don't pay. The red putman scale PM2 i have on there is a relist from a non paying bidder. So frankly, it looks good...but not good to eat.

This is great advice. Regardless of what we think, ethically, about his actions, it does not seem to be breaking any rules.....directly. If you dislike what he is doing, do not deal with him. Aside from that, he seems to have a clean track record on the forum and folks have left nothing but positive ratings for him. If I sell a knife for my asking price, I am happy because I got what I wanted.

I agree with sheathmaker's and your post. Honestly these threads are ridiculous. estate4life isn't breaking any rules, and if anything, he's supporting the forums with a platinum membership. Whether I can agree or disagree with his practices is irrelevant. If you find his actions ethically or morally wrong, simply don't sell to him as opposed to making threads like this.
