To me ethics is doing the right thing even if it may not be "against the rules". Snatching up all the good deals and flipping the knives for profit may not be breaking any rules but to me it seems unethical and could ruin a good thing where fourm members try to offer other forum members good deals out of kindness. That is just my general .02 on it. I don't think I have any history with the member in question and have no idea what he does or does not do.

If he has the time to buy and sell, then let him. I strictly keep my exchanges to this forum so that forum members can have the chance at the knife I'm looking to pass on. This is just my own choice. I like to think it helps the community, since clearly blade-o-philes (I think I just made this word up...) would be on this forum searching for a knife to buy. He still loses some funds to paypal and eBay fees, so I don't think he could be making a killing from flipping knives. Getting a find here on the exchange really is all about timing; I know I've missed out on some great buys just by a few minutes. Maybe he just has the time to browse the exchange section frequently enough to catch all the good deals.

Estate's secret is out of the bag ... now can people move on? I find it un-American when the early bird gets the worm and then folks cry foul. The guy beat you to a deal. Its not his problem. What he does with it afterwards is his business and could be part of his amusement that's his business at the end of the day. I've done some trade for and not in my favor and have had to sell some others, won some and lost some. There's going to be more knives out there, the world doesn't end. And on ebay everyone has the right to buy or not buy or not bid up an item.

He might be doing some people a favor by having something that they want and posting it on ebay. If you really want a knife and its rarish you ain't going to care if you overpaid $20 for it you are just going to be glad that you got it!

If he had a BM 450 BC1 that he got on the forum for $65 and posted it for $100 on ebay I'd buy it right now. But if he posted it for $175 like some greedy people have been doing, same with the 10700 (a $75 knife) that people are trying to get double for right now on ebay, than its my right to say screw it, I don't want that knife enough.

At the end of the day its still just a knife. We're not buying and trading kidneys over here so get a life, lol!

If he is buying just to sell, then he is a dealer and should buy the appropriate level of membership. This is the same thing that Liu Kang was doing before he was forced to do the right thing.

It's not about ' Merica, or capitalism, if he is breaking forum rules then he needs the right level of membership. It's pretty simple really.

That would be my only issue and I figure the Mods can handle that without my help.

Is the forum rule is, you can buy and not sell? So not true....if solely for profit then YES, I'm breakng the rule....but NO! I buy and sell...break even, profit or lost....i buy and sell many knives at lost all the time but no one talks about it. I've been warn by Red Devil months back, and I follow guideline. But today a Great deal pop up...so I take it. Who wouldn't?

I can't quote you... Don't know why. So far, your defense against a dealer membership is that you are a poor salesman and haven't made a profit yet? It is obvious that you have tried to make a profit.

I'm not going to argue while you play innocent, the rules are clear, and say nothing of profit actually

DEALER / MATERIALS PROVIDER - Dealers are defined as anyone who purchases at wholesale pricing, or purchases items with the intent to resell (flipping). Other terms for dealers include purveyor, broker, reseller, etc. Materials Providers offer raw materials such as steel, handle materials, or other items related to knifemaking in general as typical stock for sale to the forum members or to the general public via their own store front or website.

I haven't researched your intent, because I really don't care, the mods do a fine job of policing this kind of thing

I also just purchase these. The Manix from Nathan on labor day for $240.00. The Honey one I bought for $275 just the scales.

This one I sold for $125...I purchase it for the JG scales but this CQC has barrel spacer...no fit. Lost $30

Hey I don't have to argue or explain anything. I pay my platinum fees....same like anyone here. If BF requires I get a dealer, then it's their call. But likely I just cancel.

Hey I sold this one to Greyhulk to Canada, I think it was $190 shipped....this one I profit because KAI replace the entire knife of a defect.

Here, this one I sold cheap (I think less than $200)...to a BF member here...then a week later I saw it on eBay for $260....but I did not whine about it. Funny thing is this member used my photo.

So, as I asked earlier, your excuse for not getting a dealer membership is because you can't manage to make a profit at buying knives just to flip them?

Hey bud...watch what you say...don't put word into my mouth. I don't need a dealer membership because I'm not one. I can afford many things...finance is the least of my concern ATM.
